  1. I found one good spot somewhat near the boat ramp I've fished te last 2 days. A ton of dink largemouth but I did get quite a fatty pre spawn smallmouth wish I knew how to post pics
  2. I've be studying the several massabesic maps I have determining where bass will spawn and what break line thy will be holding on now. Does anybody with experience there know what bank they may be holding near? Yesterday I spent time over by the launch it had nice rocks w some sand along the banks but didn't hook into any
  3. Went out to my favorite 100acre lake. Weather was 70 and sunny with winds 5-12mph coming from the south. Moon phase was 95%lit and waning. I started in a shallow cove that I thought maybe I would find some heavyweights cruising around in search of crawfish and habitable spawning bottom. I started with a strike king 1.5 sexy shad running it over the channel in front of the outlet and over a w mostly buried wing dam. No takes and the wind was funneling into the cove. Next I grabbed my rod w a 4" smoke/gold flake senko on a sz1 gammy octopus hook. First toss to the creek bed and as it fluttered down I set the hook. As I worked it closer I saw 2 pickerel criscrossing over. I flipped on up And unhooked it. I thought now I had activated the bite. A threw a few more colors and sizes of wacky and nose hooked senkos as well as a couple jigs and grubs with no more bites. It was now about 4:20 and I B lined to my honey hole that never fails me along the eastern bank with 1 good break line and tons of rock piles. I started throwing a 1/8oz. Bitsyjig in green pumpkin with a matching rage craw chunk. I slowly dragged it feelin every twig stone and change in bottom and then hooked up. This time I knew it was what I had come for because as I worked her over she launched out of the water thrashing about. It was 2lbs which is the average for this lake. I tossed it back and threw the jig a few more times with no luck. Next I grabbed my stickbait setup with a wacky rigged 6inch green pumpkin senko. Again on the flutter I hooked up with another acrobatic bass this one being the biggest of the day at 2lb14oz. I went through a few more different baits snagging and losing a few on the rock piles. Then I tied up a 2 1/2 inch watermelon red flake tube bait from a local company with a booth at the hunting and fishing expo in Salem. Anyways I snagged the red hooked tube jig w the tube and as I popped it off the snag I loaded on another one. In it came looking almost identical to the other 2 this one beig about 6:10. I threw this one back and wrapped it up for the day. I was happy with the 3 little piggies in the hour I was at my honey hole. I had made a few trips there late winter an march with no luck so I'm pumped that this lake has now been turned on for the season. I would like to try targeting more smallies in there but the section of the lake I frequent is more largemouth
  4. I need to Check that pond out I'm over by Nashua but the only brush piles I find and beaver dams
  5. Found a freshwater guide book for Winni that was talking about some submerged humps that went from 60fow to 20fow any other features a out cow island or wrecks or other structure people have found?
  6. Does anyone know what lakes or rivers are available with depth contours and fishing spots for te northeast region with the platinum membership?
  7. Seems like a nice day to try and pull some bass today. Got a bit over overcast and 51 degrees the bass should be moving a bit today right. Anyone else heading out? What water and what baits? I'm hitting wash pond with some jigs. Shakey heads. A craw imitation or 2 n try these new hair jigs. If wash pond is no good and island pond is too cold ill fish the creek and ressy that connects the 2.
  8. Hey Nev how far is that from Manchester/Nashua?
  9. Yes they do take suggestions but that will just give us depth contours. Only way to get structure cover specifics are electronics of years of experience
  10. Clayton what river are u referring to?
  11. Where is this pond you're pulling bass out of?
  12. Does anyone else here use fishidy.com. I paid for 6 months expecting to find a lot more saved structure/cover on winnipesaukee and only can find some hotspots and reefs. Is there a trick or maybe another lake with better info
  13. Yeah I do some carp fishing I have one set up for them and use a pre mixed carp bait with a bell. Ill have to try horseshoe for them I didn't think of that. I caught a ton of them t salmon falls pond in Nashua. Someone threw bread in the water and they all started swarming I'm talking 100 of them. I also so a huge bald eagle there picking then off like a sniper
  14. Yeah I do the swimbait thing but I use keel weighted gamakatsu 5/0 super line and a bass assassin in albino shad my best producer I walk the dog mid depth it's killer. How do u swim the chatter bait. I have a couple white ones thought those were more a fall bait
  15. Wow really. Is it fishidy.com? There's another one I have that's an incredible mapping program online I just remembered I used it for the Quabbin was able to see the underwater roadbeds and other structure
  16. I made my first trip to nutts pond last fall and only caught one on a laydown over by the park. I sold my bass boat in November to fix my car I do have access to a jonboat and I have an electric trolling motor but I gonna be gettin a couple kayaks this summer before I head to winnipesaukee In July. So after that ill have those to search nutts pond better with. Nev where do u fish in Nashua I used to do a ton of fishing there behind margarita still one of my favorite spots. Do you ever fish the Merrimack
  17. What kinda of spoons do you fish? My uncle just passed me down his old tackle box that had a bunch of Johnson weedless spoons and deadly dicks and until I got those I never thought they'd be worth fishin for bass with
  18. I'm from southern nh not far from concord. Yeah I've tried looki at google maps and I believe I can sort of make out the original channel but it has been dammed for decades and most of the original creek banks have been washed away. If I remember correctly when they drained the entire pond to install fire hydrant system there was many holes and hills
  19. One of my fav ponds has a small shallow and sandy inlet and at the opposite end a caged Dam that is its only outlet the ponds max depth is only about 6-8 ft an it's mostly mud and muck bottom. Because this pond is so small it does not have a map made and a topi map shows it as a puddle no contours for it. Should I be targetin the inlet area?
  20. Thanks guys. Crestliner what kind of jigs and soft plastics and how would you rig and fish our senko also what color?
  21. That's great advice. Could you give me more detail on teir pre spawn movement and location? What should I be looking for right now on the river?
  22. Why pond first? What should I look for right now in a round pond?
  23. The pre spawn movement is difficult for me right now because I'm without my boat. From the bank which of these is easier to target and what key features do I want to look out for?
  24. I've been fishing the Merrimack river this past week without much luck. I get confused with the pre spawn movement. What is everyone else fishing for water an if a river what key points should I be looking for. I love te river smallies
  25. Nice fish. I have great luck on the SK bleeding gold spinnerbait. I lost mine last year though so ill have to go pick up a few more soon
