Ditto to what AK said. Since the Lucky RC1.5s went away, I have been using the Strike King KVD1.5s more and more. I've used a ton of different square bills, and none fit my needs better than these. I have nothing but good things to say.I don't change out the hooks or have to tune them at all. Strike King may very well have the best crank on the market right now. Love this bait.

I use mostly the Baby Brush Hog or the Super Hog (a bit bulkier). I Texas Rig them usually, sometimes I use a Gammy Jobe hook. Tried them with on a jika rig yesterday, caught two, missed two more. I will definitely be using the Jika rig some more. It imparts an undulating action to the bait that a T-Rig does not.

I lost it. Must have had it too loose and it came off... Until I find a replacement, is there anything I can use as a temp fix? It still seems to cast fine...

Scariest thing that ever happened to me was a huge hawk buzzing my head three or four times. I got the hint and got the heck out of there.

Man, I love these and the magnum finesse. There is no wrong way to rig them. They work wacky rigged, t-rigged, weightless, on a shaky head. Only way I haven't tried them is on a C-Rig.

I have a ton, but keep coming back to the black Booyah with the clacker. Cavitron is good too, but my go to is the Booyah now.

Last time I used braid was pretty much when Spiderwire first came out, until just this season. I am very impressed with Powerpro. I can cast it nearly as far as mono.

^THIS. Bass are rarely simply directly under the bait looking only at the stomach. The action of the bait will bring bass from all sides. Looking up at an angle, the fish will see the sides as well as the belly. And since we know their eyesight is equivilent to a cats, it will most certainly see some of the detail.

I have two Veritas and two Skeet Reese. I love them both. Sorry, I am not helping other than to tell you that you can't go wrong with either rod.

Same here. Just back in the bag. The torn up ones get a treatment of Mend-It when I get home. Mend-It is amazing stuff, that company has saved me hundreds of dollars in soft plastics.

If you can find them at a good price, go for the pre-rap Warts. They cast farther and you can retrieve them faster. Just because it is an old Wart, you are not guaranteed a bait that will hunt - not all of them did. The Scatter Raps are very light, and roll over on a quicker retrieve. I have heard, but not experienced myself, is durability issues on the Scatter Raps. All in all, I would buy one of each, use both of them and see which you like better. Then, after that, go buy a couple of much cheaper KVD1.5s and you'll forget about both of those other two baits.

I don't know where Sebiles are manufactured, but try that country's version of Ebay. You might need to use google translate, and you might have to pay extra shipping, but if they are as good as you say, it'd be worth it.

I bank fish and kayak fish. My primary lake is pretty snaggy and I fish my trusty LC1.5s all through it. Lure retrievers don't seem to work for me, and I've tried the extending golf ball retrieval pole with little luck as well - most of my baits are stuck farther from shore than the retriever or the pole can reach... I have two methods I use to get every single snag out, I've only lost one hardbait in the last two years. The first is braid, like a lot of other folks have mentioned. Sometimes you even pull up a branch with a couple of other bonus lures on it... But I don't like using braid all of the time, so my second method is wading/swimming out to my lure. I have swum after baits as early as March and as late as November (I remember one particular thanksgiving weekend wading into a frigid Shenandoah river after my bait...). As far as I'm concerned, it's the only foolproof way to get 99% of your baits back.

I use a lot of plain old Culprit 10" worms a lot. They are easy to find and have awesome color schemes.

I like chrome with a blue back any time, but it is best for me in clear water and stained water. Gold works for me in slightly muddy water, but not the really chocolate milk water.

Haha, I called my grandfather PopPop too. As for the Live Target baits, I love the frogs, they have a different action from the rest of the soft bodied frogs out there, they 'bob' in the water which is really good action around pads and other crud on top of the water... I am not sold on the cranks yet, I have a couple, but they don't seem to produce any better than other cranks.

Had never seen one until I googled it today. It looks like they still make them, I will keep an eye out for them at the store, they look pretty nice!

I have not used them, but my buddy fishes them almost every time we go out. He uses the firetiger colored one, and after about 20 years of fishing with him, I can only conclude one of two things. Either it sucks or my buddy is using it wrong. Either way I can never remember him getting a single fish with it.

Blue/Chartreuse one looks like a Strike King Series 1 or 4s (series 1 is 2inches, series 4s is 2.5inches). The other one is too blurry for me to tell. It might be a Bagley Suspending Kill'r B, but a sharper pic would help...

If you can find them in a decent color, Wave Worm's Tiki Snake is a crazy good bait. A fat bodied worm with a curly tail, it came in a 6 inch version. I have horded about 6 bags or so, most of them have be pieced back together with Mend It. They keep producing.

I have Strike King SKP20 sunglasses, $25 at BPS, that I love. They are blue tinted with an orange mirror finish, and really sharpen everything. I wear them driving and fishing.
