  1. I love white plastics. As somebody else mentioned they can be fished as is, or marked up with a sharpie however you want.
  2. Need to use that Roland Martin Lure Launching Rod...
  3. I wouldn't change them out either. I don't think the red hooks make any difference to the fish.
  4. http://www.redemptionoutdoors.com/index.php?content=smack-n-shad A little expensive at $25 a bait plus shipping... It doesn't look cool enough to make me want to part with my $$$.
  5. I like what I've tried, which is only the Craws. They are a little stiffer than normal plastics, but I don't mind. Haven't tried the new dingers, I stocked up on the Walmart clearance bin and have a ton to use up first.
  6. I do get excited about seeing what won a big tournament, and yes, I then get eager to add it to my collection. I don't think anyone should be made to feel silly or dopey for wanting the lure KVD just won on. It is a little aloof/elitist to draw a line between one person buying a KVD1.5 because he recognizes the merits of a bait while another person buys it because their fishing hero won a tournament on it. Nobody is a better or worse fisherman for wanting the latest and greatest, whatever the reason. When I see Bassin' Magazine's spring lineup of new lures, I drool and can't wait to get my hands on some of the stuff. When I get the BPS Master Catalog, same thing. Collecting this stuff is Fun.
  7. I have several favorites - Black back over Chartreuse is easily my best producer, but Blueback over Chartreuse is very close. I also really like Chatreuse back over pearl. In moving waters though, I will usually only throw Splatterback: Black back, white sides. Smallmouth near me have absolutely ruined several bagley kb2s in this color.
  8. I cleaned my walmart out of these baits, they were on clearance over the past month or so I've probably gotten about two dozen packs of 4, 5, and 6 inch dingers in various colors... They produced yesterday, I tried them on a football jighead, and got a ton of hits, but landed four - all dinks, around a pound. But the dingers seem to work pretty well.
  9. Cool, I have 3 1.5s and 2 2.5s, and only used one so far. Hopefully they will do better. To be fair, I only used it for about 15 minutes before switching to something else.
  10. I just used mine for the first time yesterday and I wasn't too impressed... Doesn't compare to the RC1.5 very well, I couldn't feel a lot of vibration and don't think it deflected particularly well. As for it supposedly 'hunting'? That bait don't hunt.
  11. I got mine at Dick's.
  12. I see the profanity filter has starred out the name of the store I shop at. LOL. The store name would be the nickname for 'Richard's'...
  13. $9.99 at ****'s Sporting Goods too. Same price as Spro Bronzeyes. Can't wait to side by side test the two out. I'm nearly in the same boat as Lou... Too cold to fish still, especially with frogs.
  14. All of the Walmarts have them for 2 bucks a pack near me. I haven't tried them, hearing they are close to Gulp, and I do not care for Gulp (For bass fishing at least...).
  15. Most live frogs have a white or just off-white belly. And the bass, unless coming from 90 degrees directly under, will be getting a partial profile view of the bait, so the detailing on the sides helps to a degree. I have one in yellow, can't wait to find one in the bullfrog pattern.
  16. No prob. Enjoy the baits, Bagleys are some of my favorites.
  17. Bang-O #2. Prizm Image. Check the link in my 2nd post, it shows the same type of eye on a larger Bang-O prizm bait. Reason I'm sure is because I for years I sold Bagley baits on Ebay. I became very familiar with Bagley baits.
  18. Finally! Getting ready to place an order that will justify the shipping costs...
  19. I finally got a hold of two packs the other day. Now if it would only warm up... More snow this weekend.
  20. Also, with the Prizm pattern, the bagley Bang-Os have a raised eye. Here is an example: http://cgi.ebay.com/Bagley-Bang-O-Lure-Prizm-Rainbow-Holographic-NIB-/170617885125?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b99e51c5
  21. I dont think so.. Notice how the middle one has a fixed tie on eye. And the bottom one has those 2 slits in the front. :-? Do an Ebay search on Shad A Lac and you will see I'm correct.
  22. Bottom two are Bagleys. Both in the Prizm Image Baby Bass pattern. Middle is a Bagley Bang-O #2 bottom one is a Bagley Shad-A-Lac.
  23. I really like the Bagley Bulgin' B series. It is balsa and really throws off a good wake. I use it a lot at night instead of a jitterbug and have been successful with it. I've tried the Mann's, but was unimpressed with it. The lips were brittle and snapped in half on me. Quality was subpar.
  24. I hope so... I was also surprised that these smell just like powerbait to me... I thought Berkeley had said previously that these were going to be unscented.
