Bandit Footloose wanna be with Larger Profile?

Featured Replies

I am looking for a bait that runs the same depth as the Bandit Footloose. It runs 0-1ft. Yet I would like it to be bigger or have a larger profile. The Footloose is 2" long. I have been having lots of success with it yet was hoping to search for larger fish with the bait.

Mann's Baby Minus comes in 3 different sizes. It comes in like a small one medium one and a large size but only runs about a foot deep.

You hit it on the head!!  I'm a huge fan of the Bandit, but the 1minus will definately get 'em too.

X3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Excalibur wake bait is pretty big.

Norman also has a big bait like that...The square bill wake bait...   they also have the fat boy.    strike king has 1XS.  I like the manns too

I really like the Bagley Bulgin' B series.  It is balsa and really throws off a good wake.  I use it a lot at night instead of a jitterbug and have been successful with it.

I've tried the Mann's, but was unimpressed with it. The lips were brittle and snapped in half on me.  Quality was subpar.

One to try which is a bit bigger is the Sub Wart. They are hard to find and colors are limited. I have caught as many if not more on the Sub Wart as I have on a Mann -1 and the finsih is much more durable. You can find them here.

just picked up a fat bomber square "A" and threw it around in the pool yesterday to see the action which was a nice. wide, erratic wobble. its a 0-3 footer though but with the right retrieve you can work it next to the surface

LC Wake bait or Ima Roumba.  I was skeptical of the Roumba initially, but man is that thing a fish magnet.

The Ima bait is the deal but they are spendeeee.  Wordens Timber Tiger comes in a 1 footer and for the money, is a great choice. Far less expensive.

I like the subwart for fishing really shallow water. It's a loud bait with a very erratic action that will bring the fish in out of heavy cover or dirty water.

Subwart and minus-1 have both brought many a river Smallie to the boat...love them both.  The Ima bait is great, but too too spendy to use where there are toothy critters eager to bite you off.

The Egg.

I use the BPS "The Egg" cranks (3/8oz) ALL THE TIME!!!  i love these cranks.  the 3/8oz is a little smaller over all than the 3/4oz.  the 3/4oz is almost as big as an actual egg.  both have great wobble.......highly recommend.

great price too  ;)
