Blue back Chartreuse (Parrot?) Black Back Chartreuse

Favorite bait, weather, and cover
Mid August, 90 degrees, overcast, muggy, two hours before a thunderstorm, during the storm, and two hours after.

What is your guy' deal with the senko type bait?
I think they are too expensive, and for some reason I am not catching as much as I used to on them. I catch way more on flukes and trickworms.

jim duckworths soft plastic tip
Odd, I saw it in a show the other day too. Shaw Grigsby was doing it.

Yum's Fat Money Minnow
Haha, great, I'm getting more!

Yum's Fat Money Minnow
Any opinions on these baits? My Walmart had them on clearance at $1.96 for a 2 pack, with 4 nail weights and 2 7/0 hooks. I bought them all. Figured for that price I couldn't go wrong.

Favorite Prop bait
That LC Kelly J looks sweet! I will also second the Bagley BangO lure with props... I only have that and a few Heddon torpedoes. Prefer the bango.

Floating worms
The only truly floating I have found is made by Rattlesnake bait co. They are very spongy and actually do float. I have a few bags of their finesse worms, but haven't seen them in a store for years.

Okuma reels
I have owned two Okuma spinning reels. Both were decent at first, but the auto close feature on the bail broke nearly immediately on each one, and eventually the bail would release when fighting a fish. Don't remember the models but both were around $40-50 at Dicks. I haven't tried their BCs, but based on my experience with the spinning reels, I won't buy okuma again.

Word is their baits are so good they've been banned in some tournaments. IBTL.

wobble worms
I have a bunch that I got on clearance. Never caught a fish with their rig, but the worms are high floaters and do great on a shaky head. The HHWobble is a knock off of the Wobblehead Worm (I think... Heck, it could be the other way around). http://wobbleheadlures.com/id5.html

Restocking the tacklebox/Show it off.
We all belong on that 'Hoarders' show, Fishing Episode.

Quad Hooks?
Anyone heard of these? Any opinions? http://www.thehookuptackle.com/product-details.php?Category=Hooks&Manufacturer=Decoy&Product=X-S21%20Quad%20Hooks

Which plastics do you burn through the most?
I used to have to replace senkos, beavers and brushhogs like crazy. I was spending at least $20 a week on new senkos alone. Then I found Mend It. I keep all of my ripped up baits and fix them when I get home. I have save a ton of $$$.

NEW FISH FISHBURNE SHOW
Watched it for the first time today. First watched UMF and my kids complained the whole time. As soon as FF's show came on, they were absolutely riveted. For that it's a good thing.

Skeet Reese Rods
I feel the carrot stix are as overrated as you think the Skeets are... I previously had a E21 Carrot Stick that i was totally unsatisfied with. Sold it on Ebay. I bought a carrot stick from Gander for 149.00 and had the tip snap on a cast. I brought it back and switched to the teserra... I also have a St Croix 6'8" Avid and prefer the SR to it in most applications.

Skeet Reese Rods
Yeah, you can really unload on the fish with that rod.

Skeet Reese Rods
I love my Skeet Reese rods. Just bought my second. They will not break the bank, and they are tough as nails. People seem hung up on the color, but I don't care. My 5yo son calls itI prefer my batman rod... I prefer SR rod to my 2 St Croix Rods. I have heard some people complain about the weight of the SR rods, but the weight does not make as much difference to me(especially in the one or two ounces we're talking about btwn SR and others), it is the balance that counts, I think. I got the Jig/Worm 7'2" last year and paired it with my Diawa Viento. I used it for everything from spinnerbait to cranks to worms, and never got tired of it. The only thing I didn't use it for was jigs. The Wife bought me a 2nd viento for Christmas this year and I loved the first rod so much that I just paired my new reel with another Skeet Reese Spinnerbait/Worm 7'0" from Gander. I can't wait for the ice to thaw to get on the water with my new rod. It is not as stiff as other 7 footers, but I was looking for something with a slightly slower tip. I have not had to deal with the warranty W&M warranty, but have never had good luck with warranties on any rod, so it was not a factor in my decision. I guess long story short, I would recommend a SR rod to anyone.

My double super secret lure...can you identify?
I'm gonna try mine out this year. They've been sitting gathering dust.

Spro McStick any good
I am sure he put some work into it I just don't think it is an original design. Allen What a fascinating argument! I think you should sue on behalf of God. Clearly every minnow bait ever crafted is a blatant attempt at ripping Him off by copying the minnow. Let us know how the court case goes. So now God created the original jerkbait? Allen You apparently didn't understand my post. Sorry, sarcasm is lost on some.

What is a must for every tackle box?
This is what I started my daughter on, and she pulls in the fish: Mepps Fury #3, Rebel Crawdad Crank, Black/Silver Floating Rapala, Power Bail Grubs in Pumpkinseed, Johnson Spoon (Nickle), Bandit 100 Chartreuse White, Terminator Spinnerbait dual willow blades and Green/White skirt.

The Original Fred Young Big O Crankbait
I bought a bunch of these from the Bargain Cave. The wooden reproductions were made by Cotton Cordell. I am not impressed with the action or durability of the baits, although some of the color patterns are fantastic. I have much more success with other wood cranks (Rapala DTs, Bagleys, Catching Concepts), and so I leave these at home in my ever-growing pile of stuff not worth bringing along.
