  1. I have heard different opinions on whether I should get an internal GPS or external GPS on my new Lowrance units I am about ready to pull the trigger on. I am about ready to order the LMS 520C....any experiance with these - good or bad, would be appreciated as well. I am purchasing 2 units - one for the TM and the other for the console.
  2. I would want to know what they will offer you for a trade. IMO trading to the dealer is typically a loss vs selling outright. Bass Boat season is here. The next couple of months you should be able to move your boat fast and for top dollar. I beleive this to be true, although it is only my opinion.
  3. I am not a rubber net fan. Too heavy and slow for me. I prefer the soft cotton netting, still nice on the fish but much lighter and faster in the water. This realy makes a difference to me if I am the one netting my own fish.
  4. the auction is ending. anybody have opinions on this? Thanks
  5. adamcjones gives good advice. Hard saying but I think you are on the right track. I would be concentrating on main and secondary points with good cover. With that said, every lake is different. One tactic I have used with moderate success is to go out on a big fishing weekend. Observe the locals, where they fish, how they fish. I wouldn't use this as a way to pattern the lake but it may give you the insight you are looking for and combined with what you already know could help you get bit. good luck, figuring out can be half the fun!
  6. THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN SPENDING ALL YOUR MONEY, TIME AND FUN TICKETS TO GO FISHING. ONLY TO ARRIVE AND NOT HAVE A TM POWERFUL ENOUGH TO FISH WITH! JUST MY .02
  7. I am going to buy a 60 hp tiller engine for my War Eagle 20' aluminum boat. My question: the transom is 22" from bottom to top (where the motor would sit/clamp). Do I need a long shaft motor or not? Thanks in advance, Hydrilla
  8. D even the 'live' was just the show before, carved up again with a few different stories! But I was still glad to see ESPN have it on TV. Still moving forward. Hopefully someday the winner will net more than $500,000.00!
  9. I have turned the head around and it wasn't too much trouble. One thing you may want to consider is buying an aftermarket handle like the ones big foot offer. They just attach on the shaft and you don't have to open up the motor. The only issue is it will still have the 'old' handle sticking out in front. Just an idea- something I wished I would have thought of a couple years ago. http://www.nextag.com/trolling-motor-handle/search-html
  10. I just got the low down from my fishing partner. He can get me Garmin at a very reduced price. I want to trick my boat out with a sweet set up. I want a good sized Fish finder/GPS for the console and decent sized combo for the front to have under the trolling motor. I want both to accept 'plug and play' maps. any suggestions. I have been to Garmins page and left confused. Thanks in advance. Hydrilla
  11. NOW THAT IS SOME ENGINEERING!!!! AWESOME, TRULY AWESOM!!!!!!!
  12. NICE! That is a great W!
  13. When I need the gas mixed - she is good at that! Just kidding.....although she does drive sometimes when I have the whole family going to the cabin or somthing. She ain't 1/2 bad! But she can only go forward! ;D
  14. SWWWWWEEEEEEEETTTT! I will be looking for a FULL report upon your return!
  15. This is applicable if you are filling at the lake. If you are trailing to the lake, I wouldn't worry too much - cause it should mix itself well by the time you get to the ramp......especially if my wife is driving ;D
  16. I always recommend the larger (length) boats if you will be using concrete ramps and want to go out in adverse conditions or fish tournaments. 18+ I *** your budget! You will be able to grab a real nice boat for that!
  17. Yea, it has been pretty unreal! We have one guy left in camp who hasn't harvested yet. He still has our rut coming and he is the only one hunting archery on the property! Thanks for looking and patting me on the back! It feels great! Good luck to all the hunters on here!
  18. AWESOME MAN! HAWGARAMA!!!
  19. I just got back from bowhunting camp (I was only camp _______ ). My buddy took this nice 10 point on Saturday night. This is his first bow buck! CAUTION BLOOD!
