  1. Good day fellow Bass Heads, I have a lake (or pond depending on your location) it is 100 acres. It is susceptible to coloring up with just an average little rain. When it hasn't rained in sometime, the water is never totally clear. I have had great luck on this lake when I catch her stained or not too dirty. My question is: with the incredible heat we have been having i was considering some night fishing (LBH HELP) thinking A.) more tollarble for me but more importantly B.) maybe have some better success? But the water is always colored? Do you think night fishing would be productive in the colored water? part of me says no - but another part says these fish live here all the time and know how to feed - - Opinions?

  5. If the engine is good the engine alone is close to that.
  6. It is pretty simple to mount the one on the front and connect the transducer to your TM. You will be looking right below you instead of 15' behind. Just my .02
  7. dito on what G3 said. I keep seeing the pre rigged new boats in the Bass Pro catalogs and the price for a new one comes across as very user friendly. Good luck on the boat....the hunt is half the fun!
  8. man abel, I have read your story and may I say sheeeeeeeeeessssh! I feel for ya man! House to yourself, some time on your hands and NO BOAT! I unfortunately have found that what you did about your part is becoming more routine to me for all sorts of service oriented services! Man, I hope you get to hit the water SOON!
  9. in my amateur opionion I'd say an aluminum boat at least 16' in length. The one in your picture looks fantastic! I see the used ones on ebay, etc. between $3,000.00 to $6,000.00 But you know what they say BOAT really stands for: Bust Out Another Thousand Good luck!

  15. Dude that is a sweet ride! It reminds me of the Doug Hannon camo jon boat (except the 2000 version)he used to run around in before he was as big as he is today! Love it!!
  16. I-Boats and E-bay are a great way to get a barometer of what is available and for how much. I am always looking on e-bay. For the computer challanged try this. go to ebay home page/click on ebay motors/scroll down on the left menu bar to fishing boats/then scroll down on the left menu again and click bass boats/ then in the "sort by" drop down menu you can arrange them how you want i.e. ending soonest, closet to you, etc. I hope this helps. I have purchased two used boats in the last 12 months. I love both of them! Unfortunatly I have to sell one of them. I am working on getting pics etc. today. I think mine is beneath you. But when I have been looking I would have loved to have your budget! Patience is the key. I would keep looking for the older boat that hasn't been used too much. Happy Hunting!
  17. As mentioned before, wait until your line stretches or count to 3 or 4 or 5. There is a real art to catching with a frog in the slop.
  18. I am with Cart, I habitually unplug mine, Last thing I need is to be pulled over from a day fishing...if you know what I mean.
  19. You gotta go with Mattlures. His Bluegill is perfection! www.mattlures.com keep us informed
