  1. That pic^ that is ridiculous! i could see if it is rubbing along plastic but metal??? Smh
  2. Really? A Heavy? That's a lot of rod if you throw a 1/4oz spinner
  3. I bought the 703C for that exact application. However I didn't realize it was split grip. I like it a lot and think it handles spinner buzz and chatter baits well. However because the split grip I'm prob getting rid of it. I have it up in flea market for trade but you could PM me if anything if you're interested.
  4. Lol I was looking at the top of the reel next to the D of type HD and see the slit I'm like how the hell lol the regular Tats don't have a slit there. I googled a pic and saw the issue is on the t wing itself. I only see the 2nd pic
  5. is that grooving on the top of the reel above the t wing? Edit nevermind... HD looks different than the others
  6. That's a tough one. As of what o currently have in my possession id say Chronarch E series.
  7. Went through great lengths for this lmao a good friend of mine is die hard Kistler. I showed him the post just now he said MH/XF is ideal. And you'll have the extra power if you want to throw something bigger.
  8. Sensitivity is amongst the the best I've ever felt. You can feel everything the bait is doing and the slightest of bites.
  9. I run a few Stradics. Love them. With that being said last year I almost bought a Stella for SW until I handled the Sustain FG which I bought. Between those 2 I couldn't justify the difference. But I'm also talking a 6000 size reel. Stella is awesome but I think it's over kill for a shakey head exclusive combo.
  10. Call Siebert! Lol --- No really his Zenith heads are awesome. Let us know how the rod works out for you. Congrats
  11. I remember reading something about the main gear being brass in the scorpion and something else in the curado I wasn't sure if that was the last generation or this gen. Gonna check those links now
  12. Anyone aware if there is a stat sheet comparing the 2 other than paint job? Going back and forth between website descriptions they seem identical not sure though. :/
  13. Custom rod from DVT!!!! He built mine and Roadwarriors. If I'm correct we have same blank and guides. MHX HM blank, I went with 7'1 MAG ML/F. Also had reel sent to him so he could balance it perfectly. Rod is killer and his work is perfect! Also make sure you pick up some zenith shaky head jigs from Siebert!
  14. Great rods in the Champion line up. I love them for moving baits. Cranks jerks top water etc.
  15. Jerkbait. Keeps me active as I hate using the little patience I have for finesse and slow presentations. Spinner bait a close second.
  16. Keep it simple here as well but I use 10# FC across the board. Shallow divers Squarebills Jerkbaits Medium divers Deep divers Lipless cranks
  17. I throw spinner baits buzz baits and chatter baits all on the same rod. Used to use a 6'10" MH/F now a 7' MH/F. Pretty much any brand in your price range with that action will suffice. But I will say, you don't need to drop $200 you can get something in the $100 ball park that will be great. As far as A rig you need something much stronger. I use a flipping stick in the rare occasion I throw one.
  18. Via HS director :Not at this time. If they know someone at that school, I can get them the high school packet
  19. Op try having it catch half way through spooling FC. You'll be as ticked as I was. So stupid... A bunch of companies are using the blank spools now. Smfh
