  1. I got out this weekend and caught a few, too! Mid December in Cleveland has never been so good!
  2. You can store them in boxes just fine. Be careful of mixing Z-Man and Elaztech baits with non Elaztech baits. They will melt and become a goopy mess.
  3. Out of the box the Alphas SV won't be able to do the things that the PX-R does. I can cast a zoom finesse worm, or Roboworms, weightless on 8# fluorocarbon. For me the Alphas SV has its sweet spot in the 1/4oz to 3/8oz range. In other words a weightless senko. The closest similarity, for me, is the small frame both provide. If I were to make my purchases again I would honestly used the $400 I spent on the PX-R, and got 2 of the Alphas SV reels.
  4. Shipped mine out this morning, and when I came home I had my package from Felix sitting at the door! I am debating whether to tear into it now, or hold off until Christmas. I think the over/under on that is for tomorrow.
  5. I think if you are trying to compare the PX-R to the Alphas SV you are certainly setting your expectations too highly. I also have both and feel that they are two very different reels designed for two very different purposes. Also, consider that you are comparing a reel reel that originally sold for $499 (PX-R) to one one available for $200 (Alphas SV).
  6. I really like to switch the standard willow blades on my spinnerbaits to the copper hammer finish blades.
  7. Like, MarkH024, I have large spool of Yo-Zuri Hybrid just in the 10# test smoke color. It is a fantastic line, and for me the 10# test works great on my baitcasters. I will try other copoly lines throughout the year, and always come back to the Yo-Zuri. The high breaking strength for the test rating is great, and I agree with roadwarrior that the product has nominal stretch. I use a San Diego Jam Knot for all my lines, and this line has no issues whatsoever if I tie my knot the night before a tournament. IMHO it is one of the most forgiving lines I've used as far as abrasion is concerned, too. I think the overwhelming sentiment of BR members will agree that this is a fantastic line to use!
  8. I would suggest a modular solution using a soft side bag, and various tackle trays that can be swapped out depending on your needs for that outing. Check the Plano Softsider bags.
  9. Funny you should ask this as I just got done organizing my worms. I love fishing Zoom trick worms, and Zoom finesse worms. I'd say 90% of the times I throw a worm it is one of those. (For the record I don't consider a Senko type bait a worm) Of the colors I use the most will be: -black -junebug -green pumpkin -merthiolate -black sapphire -kudzu -glimmer blue -morning dawn -smokin purple -greenie weenie -seedless watermelon
  10. Cross tail shad is a dropshot staple. I like the binksy popper, too. They are a great company with quality products.
  11. I think I only paid $50. I just looked at it and it has no stamping on it.
  12. I have a Gerber multi tool. No idea what the model is, but the pliers have a spring mechanism that keeps them open for easy one hand use.
  13. If they were actual sponsors they would give you the jersey.
  14. I agree with everything you said except for this part. The best qb on the roster is Josh McCown. If you consider his stats for the season he is doing a fantastic job.
  15. I just consider it the cost of doing business.
  16. When in doubt use green pumpkin.
  17. When will you post the list of official participants?
  18. I beg to differ. There are A LOT of people who still think that he should start out the rest of the season. I am, thankfully, NOT one of those people.
  19. I tried to order chips once online, and when i opened the bag the chips were basically dust. I only buy food "in person" now.
  20. I also think you can't go wrong with any of the Pfleuger reels, but check out the new Daiwa Fuego spinning reel. I got mine about a month ago, and it is an amazing reel.
  21. Crankbaits in the 10' and deeper variety. Try as I might I just can't get bit.
  22. I just use a velcro cable tie.
  23. Read the articles found on this site. Rinse, and repeat.
