  1. Power Team Lures Hawgtonic has been a game changer for me with soft plastics.
  2. There's no wrong way to fish a trick worm.
  3. Nope. Here's a link to read. http://www.***.com/how-to-make-a-stinger-hook-for-soft-plastic-toads/
  4. You can also rig a treble hook in place of the one you have in your picture.
  5. Yo-zuri hybrid, 10# Silver Thread, 10# Izorline Platinum, 12# Izorline Platinum, 10# Sunline FC Sniper, 12# Seagaur Invisix, 12# Seagaur Red Label, 6# Seagaur Smackdown, 40# Power Pro, 65# P-Line CCX, 17# I really have no loyalty. Some I like better than others, but I just buy whatever is on sale when I am buying line.
  6. I find the 10# Yo-zuri great on a baitcaster.
  7. Perform what? Swishy whooshing sounds as you giggle it back and forth?
  8. The smart bet is to give them a bait that produces. If they get bored you can pretty much call it a day.
  9. No, I don't know what you mean. I hated the Duckett rods from picking them up at the store, but after fishing with one I changed my tune really quickly. I also used to think Daiwa reels were overpriced from my impressions of handling them at the store, but after fishing with one one the water I also changed my mind. Only own Daiwa reels now.
  10. I like my GL2 rod just fine. I find it funny that most of you have "only held one at the store a few times". That's like saying a car has bad handling, because you sat in the driver's seat at the car show. On the water - doing what it's supposed to do - it's actually good IMHO. I have no regrets.
  11. You can save even more money by getting the Tatula rod.
  12. Rattle traps and spinnerbaits.
  13. Try emailing the company. You'd be surprised how helpful that can be.
  14. My Daiwa PXL-R is the best I've ever used. Smooth, lightweight, and puts a smile on my face everytime I hold it.
  15. Be prepared to lose your jigs since you're fishing from the shore. It's just part of jig fishing.
  16. What is the purpose of the glycerin as it pertains to bass fishing? I've never heard of anyone using it before.
  17. I use a ML/F St. Croix Premier for dropshot fishing in 20'+ water on Lake Erie, and this rod performs flawlessly for me. It is far from being whippy.
  18. I'm thinking the same thing.
  19. Can't go wrong with the old Zillion. I've got two of them and they are built like a tank. Added bonus....you can customize the snot of these things, if you're so inclined.
  20. Aaron's Magic & Tequilla sunrise work very well for me when dropshotting on Lake Erie for smallies. When all else fails choose something with some pink, or purple in it!
  21. That's a lot for only a 100 yard spool!
