Experience And Dd Bass?
I started bass fishing at 14 years old. I am now 38 and my PB is 7.2 I am patiently waiting for the DD but like it has been stated, I need to probably fish some waters where they are more common.

Zero For 4 Hours Of Fishing Today...
I'd go with 8 or 6 pound test. Maybe even 4. I had a tournament Yesterday that cost me fish because I wasn't prepared for a finesse situation.

Can I Use Braid For Crankbaits??
^^^ Just like bighead said. Get a cranking rod. I pulled up a Jackal muscle deep 15+ that was wedged in a rock. I bet the rock weighed at least 7 or 8 pounds. The kicker was I had 10lb Invisx on the reel. It didn't break off! That rod saved me from breaking off. If would have been using a MH or an H, it would have been bye bye crank bait! Braid is fine for cranking. I have used it multiple times for that purpose. Just keep in mind 2 things. Your crank will ride higher due to the drag of braid. Don't use braid around wood or timber. It will saw into the wood instead of slide. For wood and timber I use either mono or fluorocarbon. Just my 2 cents.

Boss Swimjig Heads
I'm looking at their punching weights. 5 weights and 5 skirts would cost about as much as on bait from a big box store.

Tournament Cheating
I hate seeing this type of thing. In my club it is golden rule all the way. In the summer months we do paper tournaments. When I catch a fish and measure it, I always have the boater verify what I am seeing. On the larger fish, I even have him look over my shoulder. Just to make sure. There was one instance that I realized I didn't have the fish completely bumped. He didn't catch that mistake. Now if I had wanted to I could have just taken the extra bit. It would have helped me. It is not the proper thing to do though. So I measured again. We have to police ourselves as well as others. Keeping each other honest is the thing to do.

New Pb
My avatar pic is my daughter that kicked my son and I's butt. Caught on a princess pole and a 4" ring fry. Here is the link to pics and story. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/134263-princess-pole-success/?hl=%2Bprincess+%2Bpole+%2Bsuccess I casted for her showed her how to work the bait. She lost interest rather quickly. After throwing sticks and doing her thing, she came back to me wanting to fish. So I casted and she said "I just want to reel it daddy." So she did and the fish hammered the bait. We are often times our worst enemies when we fish. We over think sometimes. Little ones don't think much. They do what they want until we correct or teach them. Watch him do his thing and who knows, maybe he'll teach ol' dad something!

Why Do I Torture Myself?
Often times cruising fish can be tough to catch. Put a weightless stick bait in front of as many as you can. A dinger, ocho, or senko.

Falcon Bucoo 6'10 Flippin Stick
Another thing comes to mind. Look the rod over very well. I have seen kids use rods like swords in my store.

Falcon Bucoo 6'10 Flippin Stick
I am a Falcon fan. I don't own a Bucoo. I have the 6'10 Cara jig rod. I use it for flipping and t-rigging around docks. I have heard good things about the Bucoo line. IMO you won't go wrong with getting it for 75.

Drunk Co Worker What Do I Do?
Am I the only one thinking as to why hasn't non union management picked up on his smelling of booze everyday? I work for a large company that is unionized. Although Oklahoma is now a right to work state, my company requires you to be a member of the union to be employed. It may be they do business and have employees in practically every state. Anyways. The proper course I would take is the one you have chosen. I wouldn't feel bad about it either. I would turn him in myself whether anyone knew it was me or not. IMO he is reckless and doesn't give a d**n about anyone.

First Time "fly" Rig For Bass?
Thanks for the advice Frank. When I take on something new, I absorb all the info that I can. I have been reading everything I can come across. I'm treating this as a new adventure. I know that I'll get frustrated with a lot of things. . . . . but that's where you guys will come in handy. Baby steps. I won't be fighting any huge fish. If I like fly fishing, I'll be purchasing setups just like I would for conventional bass fishing. Instead of rod a reel combos for techniques, they'll be chosen for certain species of fish. We have a few trout opportunities in Oklahoma. Most likely I'll have to travel out of state for anything other that brim or bass that has any size. I just want to have fun and enjoy a different experience. I have been in the outdoors my whole life. The last 10 years or so I have finally seen the light. It isn't about what I harvest or catch, it is being on the water or in the field that I love. THE bigger picture.
