  1. I was going to buy a mojo, but i hate the feeling in your hands, especially weight
  2. I've always liked these rods, but never bought one and got a *** instead. Alright so i was wondering due to all i hear about these Veritas rods breaking. What is your experience with them and should this turn me away from getting one (7'3" mh casting.) This may sound pathetic but since im a "teenager" money is a little tight and this is 20 bucks cheaper than the ***. I have a 7'1" ***, but it is the same price at 100. So i was also wondering is the sensitivity close to the ***/better or worse, or do you think I should just spend the measly extra 20 bucks and get another ***? Thanks
  3. Also anyone can give me opinions on slightly cheaper reels, like the Accurist PT (I have older greenish model), Orra SX, Speedspool...no Shimanos, I can't stand the company..sorry lol
  4. Alright so I'm looking to get a reel for my spinner-bait rod. I'm assuming most everyone will say the Lew's but I just want to hear everyone's opinions. The Catalyst is $120 and the Tournament is $130. They will be in the "burner" ratios (7.0:1.). Yep, so all I'm asking is which one would you choose. Also there is a Revo S for about the same price but I'm not too interested. So yeah give me your opinions on why you would get one over the other and so forth. Also the reel will be going on a *** Black 7'1" mh. Thanks!
  5. Too bad i didnt have any small bubblegum worms, i tried a limetreuse trick worm, but they weren't having any of that.. haha
  6. Alright, so me and a buddy were shore fishing a 900 acre reservoir. I'm the bass fisherman and he is the trout fisherman. We had some pretty severe rain for the past 2-3 days with thunder and lightning, the water was a little high and more murky for being a pretty clear lake. I could not them to bite on anything but a jig here and there. It was a very slow day but it seemed like they wouldn't bite anything but a bubblegum pink colored trout worm (wacky rigged with a size 8 hook) on the fall with no "action" in shallow water near the shore, so i got out-fished by a trout worm. Any thoughts as to why the bite was so odd? Thanks
  7. Alright so I have an *** in 7'1" mh casting.. I love it, sensitive and very powerful. I use it for plastics and jigs. I was wondering if the Jadewood is more sensitive than the 13, or stronger, etc etc. So please give me your opinions. I'm looking around for rods that i can stick with the line up. So if the Jadewood doesnt stack up I will continue to purchase Omens. Thank you
  8. I'm not a big Daiwa fan. What do you have to say about your diesel?
  9. Alright, so I am looking for a crankbait rod. That could basically work the whole spectrum of cranks. Though i'm looking for something that is good with medium and deep divers around (15-20ft.) I am not spending a lot on a glass rod at the moment, so my two choices are between a rod at regular price and one that is on sell. Both are crankbait rods -Powell Diesel 7' med hvy -Daiwa Ballistic 7'2" med hvy Which one would you choose. I was going to get the powell until i saw the good deal on the Ballistic. So give me your opinions! Thanks, Zach
  10. That's weird since the person were buying it off of used to use it there, that is why i was concerned when i saw that...
  11. its a reservoir, Quemahoning Reservoir
  12. ok so what I'm kind of asking is, would a 17 1/2 be allowed to be on a lake that says 17' or less, i don't see why the extra 6in. would cause a problem?
  13. Hello, I am really concerned right now about the length of a boat we are getting. For you guys in PA, do our registrations round the length of the boat, like say its 17 1/2 ft. will it appear as 17'? Or is it still considered a 17' boat anyways not 17 1/2? Thanks, Zach
  14. So does your registration say 16'? because I see you are from PA, and so am i
  15. That's what I'm trying to say, I don't know yet, because we didn't pick it up yet, and have it transferred. I will find out from there, probably this Saturday
  16. We will find out, I'm assuming the title registration will be 17', since we haven't actually picked the boat up yet
  17. I mean't as in if i wasn't sure the length of the boat. I at first thought the boat was 17 ft. now apparently its 17.6 lol
  18. I will most likely contact our fish and boat commission. Though I'm not too sure if they are involved with the length of the boat at the reservoir. I will still find that out in the next day or two.
  19. This may sound funny, but since this is a reservoir. We are only allowed trolling motors, so I will have a 75 lb. thrust transom mount on it.
  20. I'm also pretty sure they just ask you how long it is, if that. I would just say 17 ft. anyways. If i was told not to fish due to 6in. I feel like that would just be someone trying to be an "arse." The lake is owned by a water authority, which I think is their rules on length.
  21. I just want opinions on how you think this will play out
  22. Alright, I would like you guys' opinions on this. So this body of water/most bodies of water in my area are 17' or less boats. I don't think they actually measure your boat before coming into our launch. We are buying a boat off a guy, and we are pretty sure it is 17 1/2ft long. Do you feel this will pose a problem for us and that we won't be allowed to fish here, or do you think no one will say anything. In my opinion what is the extra half a foot hurting, like really? Thanks, Zach
  23. Yeah, i can see what your saying. The only reason I'm probably buying this, is because it is a really good deal and i would like to have a more short worm and jig rod
  24. I will be fishing from a boat mostly, i just like working lighter things with more of a "finesse" approach. So you're saying get the xf?
  25. alright, probably the most will be 1/2oz jigs, or maybe one up from that, mostly soft plastics up to 1/4.. So i should probably get the fast action?
