club I used to belong to would do a one lure tourney every year. and we all would put our choice in a hat and someone would pull it out and that's what we would use. was the one tourney that everyone looked forward to every year cause we didn't know what the lure was going to be.and as tourney director it was my job to inspect all the boats prior to takeoff. also it was a draw tourney. would do the draw the morning of tourney to keep it as honest as can be. lot of fun.

I use tubes for Carolina rigs and also flip em......a lot...

the only way you will ever know is to enter,and get your feet wet. who knows you might go broke like a lot of people....LOL...

go pond hopping. did it today. hit about 12 spots.caught a bunch, had a blast.

built my own using an MHX 8 foot heavy act. flipping stick. nice tip for casting, but plenty of backbone for pulling fish out of heavy mats.

for me it's a big salmon in Alaska.....on fly tackle.

all of my Ambassadeur's get faster gears,sometimes a better handle,ceramic line guide pawl. levelwind gear bearing upgrade. shallow spools on some models. upgrade bearings when needed. that's about it.

I fish at night during the summer months. in Florida that's from jan, to dec......LOL. seriously when it gets real hot nighttime is the best. lots of bug spray........

tried em all and power pro wins for me.

we fish a lot at night because of the heat here in FL. and we use what we catch em on in the day with one exception. I throw a trap style bait a lot more at night than during the day.granted we don't have the deeper water you have but for some reason traps seem to turn em on after the sun goes down.go figure.
