have never used single hooks on hardbaits before,but it's worth trying if you want. I get snagged on grass all the time.in Fl, that's to be expected.that's why soft plastics were invented.LOL.but heck yeah why not try going to a single hook,won't hurt to try.let us know how you do with it.

get em hooked any which way all the time. I don't target them,but those beasts will bite anything.

used a Shimano Beastmaster that was probably 30 years ago that had Eva grips.

had my XP do the same thing,was the clip from the timing advance rod that had come off. used braided line to get back to the dock. worked great till I got it fixed proper.

30 lb. braid with a mono leader around rocks,shellbeds etc. otherwise all braid no leader.

Cordell wiggle o and an old one at that.....

also try a slider grub/worm. just let it sit there and shake it ever so gently......
