  1. this is great advice. I had one that didn't fit for me to fish out of. got a sit on top model and it made all the difference. also remember you are limited to gear so pack smartly.remember also to wear a PFD at all times. have seen people not even have one with them, bad things will happen.be safe.
  2. you could build what you want. I used a MHX med. heavy 7" mag taper blank and it works perfect.
  3. you always remember the ones you lose.........................but forget about them as soon as you catch a big one. and you will catch a big one.............hopefully soon.
  4. another bait I use is a Devils Horse.......around the edges of grass lines, pockets, any ambush point. faster the better on the retrieve.peacocks will chase down a bait like a freight train. good luck.
  5. these.........
  6. I keep 3 buffs with me 2 are in the cooler 1 is on my head when I start to sweat I change 1 out to a cold one then keep repeating all day. makes it easier to fish in the summer here in Fl. also spf 50 is what I use for sunscreen.also I just started to use gloves to protect my hands,so far so good.
  7. very nice boat.....can't go wrong.
  8. go to fish the new lake next to the Stick Marsh this morning.been open for a little while to non powered vessels.kayaks, canoes etc. no trolling motors either. spent 3 hours in a yak and caught 36 fish up to 3 1/2 lbs. what a great place this is going to be. some are calling it Stick Marsh 2.0.....fluke style baits, spinnerbait, topwaters. wind started to pick up so used the drift to help me along. but this place is going to be full of boats when they get the ramp built, about a year before it.s done.
  9. speedo tube.................
  10. same problem here in Florida. Try fishing out of a kayak and they get right up next to ya to say hi. never had one get aggressive or out of hand with bumping.most of the time they just go on they're way.
  11. Bass Cat is a really good boat.another one I looked at is Falcon. nice layout not as pricey. nice quality.
  12. have been using MHX,Rainshodow blanks for a while and was wondering what others are using. been thinking of trying something different for a change, any thoughts?
  13. I took my blocks off years ago, they really are of no big help. educated thumb and years of practice helped. I also read where Hank Parker had done the same. I can cast 1/4 oz. baits all day long on a 45/4600 with no problems.
  14. 2 lures come to mind.....original floating f-3 rapala, charlie brewer slider 3" panfish grub.2-4 lb. test and a lot of fun.
