I fish for red fish. Trout and snook and use med heavy casting and spinning tackle all day long. 2500 or 3000 size spinning reels work perfectly Round Ambassadeurs 4600 or pro max 1600 are my go to casting reels.

went to Headwaters last weekend and some of my buddies decided to try BFS to see if we would catch more or less fish. Oh my did we catch a lot. Nothing bigger than 2 lbs. but oh my word they were killing the little baits. mostly used Charlie Brewer 3-4 inch slider grubs. Also we caught a few on Beetle Spins. between 4 boats an 9 anglers we caught about 120 fish. it is really getting hot but when they bite as good as they did you tend to forget about the heat. Can't wait to do it again soon.......

I've never been that cold.............but in Florida we fish year round.......

I also have the 7-3 model.....and they work great for crankbaits. they seem to have a slower tip but plenty of backbone when setting the hook.

Aird-X have 3 of em.......like em pretty good.....

I don't target big bass specifically.......but being from Florida they are always here.Sometimes I get lucky. If I were to target big bass specifically I would use bigger baits.......I don't like using live bait ........

round for crankbaits and spinnerbaits..........and saltwater.........

has anyone ever had a piece of tackle that was better than you expected? Just recently won a Kunnan Fiend baitcast reel as a door prize at a tourney. thought how good can this be when they go for 20-30 bucks at local tackle shops? well I'll tell you what it has become my nephews favorite reel. casts really smooth,lightweight,easy to adjust cast control. Not a bad reel for nothing. I liked it so much I went and bought one....20 bucks at my tackle shop and keep it in my truck rigged and ready to go whenever I'm out and about. Really surprised me as to how good this little reel is.Anyone else have something similar to share?????

fall out of the boat when I set the hook...........it happens.....

I'm gonna guess you are a really good caster.........you seem to know where the fish are.........I'm just saying.......

this in a nutshell....

I'm left handed and if I try to cast with my right I would probably lose the rod ..........it's not a pretty sight .....

I tried it once............gave it an honest try..........never again.....

fishing is way more than all of this for me....it's like breathing for most people....if I don't fish something inside me, and I can't for the life of me describe it.....goes out of balance. some people get therapy.....I go to the water.....way cheaper and more effective.....
