this is so true.....

there was a guy in south Florida years ago who built a cat style bass boat with twin 75's on it. haven't seen one in 30 years ore more. was a cool looking boat. he never got enough people interested to build a lot of em.

I've got 4. all I made with MHX blanks. 1 is 8 feet, use it for punching.other 3 are light as my casting rods.

this in a nutshell......same thing happened to mine. ground wire was corroded.

this.had a replica made of my pb fish still swims today.

don't really need to upgrade, love older ambassadeurs. build 2-3 rods each year for myself. so I look for reels online, or garage sales. then upgrade the bearings, gears etc. that.s how I upgrade.

check with Mudhole.they have closeouts all the time.

well the trip to San Diego was a blast.got to see the boy, grandkids etc. weather was great. fishing was a short trip to Lake Miramar. 3 hours was all we could squeeze in with all that was planned. have never seen water so clear for the depth !!!!!! deep diving jerk baits,flukes and flipping craws in the cattails. nothing big but had a blast. just to see my son and the new(6 weeks old) granddaughter and grandson(1-1/2) was worth the trip. want to thank everyone on here for their help with ideas and locations.

that's why we buy more lures than we really need.they will break,get lost on a stump etc. etc. etc........and there is nothing wrong with that.it just happens.

you can put blue brake blocks in them, helps when casting lighter lures. or you can take out the brake blocks altogether and it will cast really great. just have to use thumb a little more. all of my black max's have no blocks in them. my pro max's have the blue blocks.

I hot rod all of mine, faster gears, upgrade the drags, higher grade bearings etc........

I have 9 round Ambassadeurs. 4600's and a few 1600 pro max's. also 3- 1600 black max's. love em all.
