round reels fish just like any reel. cast as far ,just as smooth. just round. most are a little heavier than low profile reels but are almost bulletproof. I've got 45/4600s that are 20-35 years old that I still use all the time.

I use this handle.battery box I made, and yes the switch works great when wet. I also use a hand control model on my Ranger. would rather use a hand model.that's my preference.

I use a Bigfoot handle extension with a Bigfoot trolling motor switch. also put my batteries all the way in the back.yes I carry 2 24 series batteries for those long days on the water. also have gps/scanner on board.

in Florida you fish year round, except when a hurricane shows up. even then, the bite is on, we go............
