  1. I think sensitivity of a rod can be relative and each person will "feel" different things. For example, we fished a tourney yesterday and we were fishing a weed line. My partner and I were both fishing a Texas rigged baby brush hog. At times, as you would pull your bait through the weeds, the weed would pull back so to speak. This lead to a number of hook sets on weeds, lol.
  2. Nice Fish! I would say your guess is pretty close.
  3. I have 4 Tatulas and really like them. I got them for $103 each, so I feel like it is the best $100 reel I have ever used.
  4. Xcalibur xcs100 for me
  5. x2 Regular Chigger Craw and Crazy Legs Chigger Craw
  6. My fishing partner has a 5 on the front and just got the 7 for the dash. I would definitely go with the 7. The features are the same, but the size makes a huge difference. Much more than I thought it would. We had his hooked up in about 30 min, including putting the ram mount on. Really good unit as compared to what it would cost you to go the HDS route with SS.
  7. If you watched any of the NCAA tourney or have seen this talked about, you probably know about the friendship that Adreian had with this young girl. Well, she has passed. I just saw her on TV this last weekend watching him compete in the slam dunk contest. I honestly don't think it was a show. I truly believe he loved that little girl. My hat goes off to him for being an inspiration to her during her short time on this earth. For those who don't know about her. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the-dagger/lacey-holsworth--friend-of-msu-s-adreian-payne--has-died-122652140.html
  8. Lol, as you can see, this is like Blonde vs. Brunette. It really comes down to personal preference. I have used both and for me it would be a toss up. I think they are both good rods, just depends on what you prefer. To me the guides are what really sets them apart. I don't prefer one over the other, but it may be something to consider.
  9. I completely understand. It was more a jab at people who honestly believe they "need" a rod for every technique.
  10. What's all this talk about a versatile rod????? Don't you know that you need a different rod for every technique you plan to use???? That's what we are told anyway.
  11. I guess I am biased that I can't tell that the Tatula is noticeably wider. But here are a couple pics for you to point out the vast differences. HUUUUGE difference, lol. Once again though, this is an actual example of the size. Not internet talk.
  12. So why does KVD choose Quantum? Do they pay more than the others? I would think they couldn't since they produce junk that nobody wants.
  13. Just so you will be a little bit more educated the next time you decide to post misinformation. The Tatula weighs 7.9 oz and the Tatula Type R weighs 7.6. In my most recent brush with math, those are both under 8 oz. The Curado I (which is already being hailed as the GREATEST reel ever) also weighs 7.6 oz. I own 4 tatulas and they don't feel any heavier than my Citicas or Curado G series reels. However, I am not one of those guys who can tell the difference in .3 oz or the equivalent of a few quarters. So, I wouldn't consider 7.9 oz a BRICK, but what do I know, I actually use them instead of just picking one up in the store and have to worry about crying over the sheer weight of 7.9 oz almost crushing my hand.
  14. Game and Fish officers hold more power than any other law enforcement officer in Oklahoma. They can search you, your vehicle or house at anytime. However, I don't think they would do so unless the had really good reason to do so.
  15. This is my one post to brag........Looks like I win!!!!!!!!!
  16. It doesn't say in stock. It tells the number available. If they don't have any in stock, under the column "stock" it will have a date and that is the date that they expect to have them.
  17. I think "in stock" is when they "expect" to have them, not a guarantee.
  18. Because the letter Q is one of the least used consonants in the English language. Therefore people have some angst toward words that start with Q. Not really, but that makes as much sense as most of the replies you are bound to get. I have used (actually still do some) a Quantum code red on a KVD rod and I think it is a fine reel.
  19. I have ate plenty of worms, grasshoppers, june bugs, etc. But the thing that most people consider weird, is that I bit the head off a live crappie. We were crappie fishing and all we could catch were these 5-6" crappie. I said something to the fact that if I catch another one of those lil things, I;m gonna bite his head off. Well, I caught one and proceeded to bite his head smooth off.
  20. An elderly man owned a large farm for several years and one evening he decided to go down to the pond. He grabbed a five gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he got closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to him; "We are not coming out till you leave." The old man replied; "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or to make you get out naked." Holding the bucket up, he said "I'm here to feed the alligator."........................Some old men can still think fast.
  21. I prefer Xcalibur square bills in rayburn red and oxbow and Xcalibur xr50 lipless cranks in rayburn red and royal shad.
  22. Is the joke that you posted this as a PDF file???????
  23. Fixed your pic for you
