  1. I throw 3/16 oz texas rigs on my 6'11 M+ I bet it would make a good chatterbait rod as well, just didn't think about using it for a moving bait.
  2. If you don't mind a 2 piece there are a few deals to be found. I guess shipping is too expensive to ship full length rods (from my research anyway)
  3. I have that rod as well and it currently is used for 1/4 oz texas rigs. Might get another one if needed. Thanks!
  4. I'm working on this knot, since @roadwarrior called my knot ugly and hurt my feelings, I have to try something different. Does anyone go through the eye and make a loop and go back through it? Just trying it and I like the idea of the line being doubled up.
  5. Thanks guys! I guess I will try the 7'2 MH first
  6. Thanks, that would lead me to believe the 7'2 H or 7'5 H would be better.
  7. My wife received a pack of the seeds and most recently a pair of socks, neither of which she ordered.
  8. I haven't thrown a chatterbait a lot, I usually throw a spinnerbait in the fall and spring but I am looking to maybe throw a chatterbait a little bit more. I have a number of rods that I could use, or I am open to trying something new. I know I would be better off just trying them out, but I am mainly trying to get an idea of what you guys would try. I will be throwing a 3/8 and 1/2 oz. I have a 6'8 MH-F Expride, 6'11M+F Poison Adrena, 7' MH-XF Curado and the following Zodias rods 6'10 MH-F, 7'2 M-F, 7'2 MH-F, 7'5 H-F. I will probably throw them on 14 or 16 lb Sniper. I just bought the Zodias 7'2 M and I am thinking about trying it first. It isn't near as soft as my 6'10 MH Zodias' are. I'm probably over thinking this, but I just read so many differing opinions. Thanks!
  9. Isn't 10/24 the 4th Saturday in October? I'm from Oklahoma so counting isn't my best ability.
  10. I won't get out till about 1:00 today and it's going to be hot and sunny, I will have to try out a couple of these techniques that I don't normally try.
  11. Aside from the time I didn't win the blue ribbon at the county fair for prettiest knot, it has done well for me.
  12. You could square dance up there. LOL
  13. I use a knot that I saw Gary Klein tie in a video on youtube. Similar to the Double Shindo down by the barn knot but not exactly. He never did say what it was called but I have had good success with it.
  14. Back when I first heard of the "Senko" I just assumed you fished it weedless on an EWG hook with a weight just like I did every other soft plastic. I fished it that way for a long time till I figured out the different ways to fish one. Caught a lot of fish doing it the "wrong way". LOL
  15. Especially when casting. You can get one that deep when trolling but not just casting. I know there are guys here who can do it though, never ceases to amaze me the ability of some of our members. LOL
  16. If you have any extra fishing line you can use it and just cut it to the length and girth and measure later. Not as accurate as a set of scales, but probably more accurate that just a bunch of guesses from BR members.
  17. Got another combo put together today. Chronarch 50e with a 96mm handle from a Chronarch G XG and upgraded knobs with bearings, put on a brand new, plastic was still attached, Crucial 7' M. I put 40lb Sufix on it and it is going to be a dedicated Popmax combo. I only tossed it around in the yard, but it feels really nice.
  18. Four score and seven years ago a man brought fourth on this forum, a new line, conceived in a factory, and dedicated to the proposition that all lines are NOT created equal.
  19. I know, that issue was already addressed with no answer by the OP. It's hard to suggest a solution when you don't have any idea what kind of boat we are dealing with. Could be a 10' jon boat or a 20' Ranger.
  20. See if you can get them to deliver my 100 ct of 7" power worms. LOL!!!!!
  21. Some more older Shimano goodies. Chronarch ci4 in excellent condition I upgraded the knobs and spooled it up with 12lb Sufix Elite and put it on a 6'10 Cumulus rod I picked up. I think this is going to be a great 1/4 oz or 3/8 oz spinnerbait set-up.
  22. Same. I have been changing handles on a lot of my reels here lately. Adding 96mm swept handles from the Chronarch G series to some of the Chronarch e series reels. Those need a shim between the handle and the drag star to work properly.
  23. I ordered 2 100 ct packs of 7" power worms in May. Only received one. Took me 2 weeks to speak with someone an she said the other pack was on the way. That was June 7th. Still haven't got them and cannot get an answer to an email or can't get them to answer a phone call.
  24. I thought about this thread today while I was fishing so I stepped back and took a pic. Three set-ups, foot pedal, cup/tool holder, power pole buttons and net. Still plenty of room to fish.
