For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
Looking forward to being at the Douglas County get together/tournament. Have a buddy that is going to fish in my pond hopper boat with me. Also, Has anyone fished Harrisonville North Lake ? I went yesterday and caught alot of healthey 13-15 inch bass. Seemed like a place where there might be a couple big ones. But I was there in the heat of the day and had to leave well before sunset. Anyone ever done well there?

I have a pond hopper boat and would love to participate in some of the weekly tournaments! Is it going to be a weigh/picture type or is a live well required?

I have fished the FLW-BFLS as a co-angler alot. Some guys really hate when you cast up in front. But most don't mind as long as its water they have already had a shot on. I have fished with out of guys and learned alot. My first one ever I drew Bob Richardson! Had some guys tell me just fish like its any Saturday on the water. And others that were a little more testy. One thing I have noticed. When you are outfishing them they get irritated evern if they are nice!

I looked on there online reviews and they all complained about how short the shaft was. But that's good to hear, I have always been a minn kota guy, so not sure how i feel about getting a MG. I might go look at it tonight. SOLID FISH BLUE!

No kidding, That lake used to be the best. I work in insurance, and i drove out to paola to meet a new client once, he lived in an apt there. While we were doing paperwork I saw fishing poles in the corner so asked him about fishing. He proceeded to show me "master angler awards" that his son has achieved. One was a 23 inch Largemouth from MI CO, caught on a live sunfish. He told me it tasted great... I wanted to throw up. On a side note, I am thinking about a foot controlled transom mount trolling motor for my pond hopper. I found one at cabelas, was wondering if anyone has used these and think it would be worth it. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Boating/Electric-Trolling-Motors/Transom-Mount%7C/pc/104794380/c/104716980/sc/104645880/MotorGuide174-Bulldog-Foot-Control-Transom-Mount-Trolling-Motor-54-lb-Thrust/701504.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Ftransom-mount%2F_%2FN-1100546%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104645880%3Fgclid%3DCMii5cmNuroCFejm7AodSWUA5A%26gclsrc%3Daw.ds%26WTz_l%3DSBC%253BMMcat104794380%253Bcat104716980&WTz_l=SBC%3BMMcat104794380%3Bcat104716980%3Bcat104645880 OR should i just save my money to buy a bigger boat? i have like $200 worth of CC points at cabelas. So it kind of caught my eye. What do yall think? Micah

Float Trips For Smallmouth!
It was not as good as I had hoped. and we had some equipment issues that cut the trip short. but when we fishing we were cathing em. Mostly on jigs, t-rig creature baits, ned rids and shakey heads. I caught 1 largemouth and the the rest were all smallmouth. The largemouth was a decent fish but most of the smallmouth were 12 inches. If I wouldnt had my boat/trolling motor crap out on me we probably would have had over 100 smallmouth and hopefully would have sprinkled in some decent ones.

I dont know where all they fished. I know they had 3 keepers in the little pond that you go under the culvert to get to on the south end. I had another buddy catch some off the ledge/bluff area by the dam. They were fishing jigs and squarebills. I have always done well on the dam. I like Olathe because its close and I can usually catch some healthy fish there, but i have never caught anything huge there.

Went to Miami County and fought the wind for awhile on Sunday morning. Caught plenty of little fish, but nothing worth mentioning. The water was super clear there. Most of the lakes I have seen have been pretty stained or flat out muddy because of all the rain. It was surprising. Had some buddies do pretty well at Olathe Lake this weekend.

Table Rock Lake
Gotcha. I bet he was happy!

Table Rock
Alabama Rig ruled the tounament last weekend. Dragging football jigs can work. Wiggle Warts on the right banks.

Table Rock Lake
Had a rough trip to the Rock. Lost a keeper at the boat. My partner caught them on the A-rig, weighed an 11 pound bag. I had some REAL issues thowing the rig rig and lost about $150 of tackle to the lake. Most of the guys caught some on the rig or wart. Mine was on a FB jig in 25 ft of water.

Table Rock Lake
I will be there this weekend! Hope the A-rig doesn't take the top 10.

Thanks Bluebasser86! i will check it out!

Yep. I hate the A-rigs, the only reason I threw it at all is because I have a tournament at Table Rock in early march as a co-angler. There is about a good chance that will be what my boater is throwing so I am trying to get a some confidence with it. Even when I use the 5 wires in MO I can never seem to get the dummy swim baits to swim well.

I caught some last Feb last year, but with similiar results, I think one was over 15". ANd Spring came super early last year. It was a 3 wire, bladed rig. FIrst time I have ever thrown this particular one. I picked it up at the sportshow. used 3/8 OZ jig heads with 4 inch Reaction INnovations skinny dippers.

Got out to Miami County today... Didn't catch one fish. mainly fished jerkbaits, but thre an a-rig some, shakey head, and wiggle wart around the rocks. Talked to two other people fishing, no one had caught anything. First time I ever have zero-ed out there.

Lake Of The Ozarks
Couple buddies of mine won the FLW Central division Collegiate Event in 2010. Caught all their keepers on wiggle warts. If that bite is on you want rock banks that go from boulders to pea-gravel. You will catch alot of fish. I have done well on jerkbaits and slow-rolling spinnerbaits. I have literally seen someone take second in a tournamnet in march by fishing a mega bass off the second point to the right coming out of PB2 ALL DAY. That was the BFL in 2011. I would reach for the jerk-bait first.
