  1. Thicker mono is good for top waters like walk the dog, poppers and torpedo types.
  2. 15lb Tatsu... its my favorite line. I use it on the majority of my bc rigs besides jerkbait, topwater.
  3. Defiantly agree
  4. Here's some pictures of flies that can be used. EP Fiber Minnow https://www.google.ca/search?q=EP+fiber+minnow&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=IFrWVLSXGYyWgwTvqYKwAw&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=1008 Wooly Buggers https://www.google.ca/search?biw=1920&bih=1008&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=wooly+bugger&oq=Wooly+Bugger&gs_l=img.3.0.0l10.30936.32979.0.33640.12.9.0.3.3.0.87.723.9.9.0.msedr...0...1c.1.61.img..0.12.738.thr2xuvPPR8 Headcase crawfish
  5. So typically a drop shot is fished with a soft plastic nosed hooked or tex hooked with a weight at the bottom. A few years back I got into fly tying art (Hate fly fishing, but really enjoy making realistic flies.) I was making a few EP Fiber Minnows for a buddy of mine and BAM it hit me... why not reverse the hook so its facing up and tie it onto my drop shot rod. This rig works really good for lethargic bass and can save you money.
  6. I actually noticed that too, I sent them an email and they said its an Avail prototype. It might be available this summer.
  7. +1 for Canadian anglers. I think out of all thr bass fishing shows I watch on WFN he's the most informative.
  8. Lol you beat me Felix.
  9. I wish someone made a microspool for the ci4.
  10. Hooligan, what spool is that on your Aldebaran BFS?
  11. I'm pretty sure its a cheaper version of the Aldebaran BFS.
  12. Aaaaand the JDMonkey just convinced me to buy a Shimano Poison Ultima...
  13. Lol I wish I could go out and test it for jerkbaits. But I haven't found an ice breaking jerkbait lol.
  14. When it comes to pitching I perfer a longer rod for leverage.
  15. Lol.. I know it says Worm n Jig, I also have the 72mhxf (Got them for clearance price) I'm using for jigs. I perfer a longer rod for jigs and t rigged worms. That being said I think I'm going to use the 6'8 for jerkbaits.
  16. Jerkbaits or topwater water(poppers, wtd styles) I jjust cannot decide which technique to use this rod for.
  17. Has anyone tried these? They actually look pretty nice... That being said, how are they in the water?
  18. Use ro be InvisX.... then I tried Tatsu.
  19. Well they did it with the Aldebaran Mg7 and the Core Mg7 (same reels different colors) So it's a safe assumption. EIther way I'm getting like 5 of those 50 sized Aldebarans.
  20. With the new 50 sized Aldebaran, thunk they'll come out with a new 50 sized Core?
  21. For 1/8oz I'd recommend the Kattobi Air BFS bearings. You can let the bearing sit in a glass full of acetone over night to clean it.
  22. Nice a tuned Aldebaran BFS, unfortunately it doesn't look like anything I couldnt do with Avail parts.
