  1. Definition for bait casting reel for myself is one that can toss a rig thats 1/8 oz or less on 6lb diameter line and still get good distance
  2. Try nose hooking them, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
  3. To get a true finesse bait casting setup you're looking at $250+ just for a reel.
  4. Personally I feel like MM rods are to "whippy" and underpowered. I use a 7'8 MHM because I throw my square bills into some messy stuff and I need the extra power to pull the fish out.
  5. I fish ds a lot. I look for about 10+ feet of water with large boulders and fish each boulder 360 then move onto the next one. Also I start off with a small 3 inch bait like a twitch tail minnow then once I find the smallies I'll upsize to a 4.5 inch FAT roboworm to try to get the larger ones out of hiding.
  6. For bottom contact jigs and t-rigs F for sure, the XF is AWESOME for swim jigs though.
  7. 3/8 Green Pumpkin football jig w/ a Paca chunk in Alabama craw color.
  8. Nice, this is one of those "Why didn't I think of that" moments.
  9. Found em! Please delete.
  10. In molds there's that channel you're suppose to put a weed guard, screw lock etc. Is there a metal cylinder I can put into it so I can put the weed guards in after the pour?
  11. You can go really old school and get like 30 feet of rope and mark each foot5 off. Then attach like a 2 oz lead cylinder sinker to measure depth. If you want4 to find out the texture of the bottom ie sand, gravel, wood etc then smear the bottom on the sinker with pig fat. Whatever is on the bottom will stick to the fat. Using all the information you can plot out your own map.
  12. A lot of companies over rate there drags by A LOT, especially Abu Garcia with the Gen 3 revos.
  13. There's a lake up near me called Lake Clear just outside of Eganville. It compares to Simcoe but without the crowd. To add, Webers burgers are AWESOME!
  14. Year after year, can't beat a drop shot for SMB.
  15. I'm almost certain the Elite also has a drag clicker as well.
  16. The Live Target H4C is my secret crankbait.. shhhhh.
  17. Apparently they're going to use the old molds to build wiggle warts again.
  18. I remember reading somewhere that Storm is bringing back the old wiggle wart design, anyone have any news or links with info?
  19. Are those compatible with the Chronarch E?
  20. I like putting a 1/4oz finesse football jig as the weight for my DS.
  21. I use a TBC610MLXF paired with a Aldebaran BFS (With a honey comb spool) with 6lb Tatsu and these things launch a mile. That being said, if you don't have clear water - chances are it won't work. But these things SLAY small mouth up here in the Great white north. The ghost gill simulates perch really well.
  22. Lighter aftermarket spools help as well. http://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/
