You can do anything from casting heavy to super light baits with either or. The only advantage I can think of with a spinning rod is the ability to open the bail and let the bait drop, a lot more convenient then having to loosen the spool tension knob to let it drop on a baitcaster.

The pictures really do no justice, I'm 6'6 so they look smaller then they really are lol. First one I caught this year, 3/8 football with a Paca Chunk Senior in Green Pumpkin black fleck. This was caught with a 3" Twitchtail drop shot. Another Paca Sr fish There was also about 10 1-2lbers that I never photoed, all in all it was a great day for fishing!

My dedicated squarebill rod is the TBC78MHM. Its a little unconventional compared to what most people use (7 to 7'2 in length). I prefer it because of the leverage, I throw my square bills into some nasty stuff.

They're killer on a mojo rig, try to get a weight that wont go through the weeds and skim it on top of them.

Try a smaller bait until you gain confidence - I'll almost always get a limit using a 3" twitch tail minnow.

Same story with old Gen 3 winches, nothing put problems. I switched to shimano and now own everything from a Met to an Aldebaran BFS.

The met is in a league of its own, that being said I own both and I'm happt using either one.

My friend and I are having an argument, I say theres nothing wrong with storing soft plastics in a plano box (out of the original packaging) He says the can dry up and stain the plano box. Please prove one of us wrong.

The only two things I do with time w/o the kids or wife is fish and play poker stars. One supports the other! lol.

Mend it actually fuses the soft plastic back together, unlike super glue where it just sticks it together.
