  1. You are very limited on hook seting abilities with that rod using any decent sized single hook. I have been messin with my old 5'6" Ugly Stick lately and the Rebel Super teeny Wee R. Catchin everythink in the lake and havin fun.

  3. Shallow squarebill would be a good option too
  4. I would use a weightless Fluke.
  5. Thats the Basstackle 702 craw I was talking about and NOT a Rage craw. Two totally different designs. I believe ALL Rage baits are covered by the same pattent. And that is for the ridge on the tail/claw/appendage. The shape of the bait is no coveredt.
  6. I recently sold two of the molds for the baby Rage craw. They were 6 cavities each, aluminum injection. I sold them for $350 each. They were the only two in existance. The 702 craw mold from Basstackle is an equally good craw and in my opinion even better. Four cavity mold is $200
  7. Ahhhh, whatta you know?
  8. This has been my goto rig this year. Does not neccesarily have to be a Rage bait. They skip well too.
  9. I would bet its homemade by a local guy and sold at a small tackle shop.
  10. Yum Dingers or BPS Stick-o's are a cheaper substitute and you get more bass per bait as they are not as weak.

  12. Sweet. glad its working for you. Be careful if using braid and a leader. The leader can snap more easily since its so short. Keep it at least 5-6'.

  14. No reason to run a leader with light braid. Tie the braid directly to the hook. no need for a swivel. If you really think you need a leader make it 6' or so. With braid and a short leader of mono or flouro (12-24") you will snap the leader on hookset. I use 20# Power Pro and no leader in fairly clear water with no ill effects and never break fish off.
  15. While the RC 1.5 is an excellent crank, I have done just as well on the KVD 1.5 and Acadamy H2O CRS
  16. As said by Arv. Color in stick baits make no different to me.
  17. Here is a list I found for Robo colors. Many are three color laminates Probably pretty old but interesting. http://www.roboworm.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/2012%20color%20descriptions.pdf
  18. Sounds like you are not finding fish. I would imagine they should be moving up to spawn soon. I would try around those areas. What is water temp?
  19. Those all look good. I am not a big believer in color and am sure a bass would eat any of them. Here is my Bluegill that is bases on a Boss skirt.
  20. Skipping docks and under tree branches in shallow water 4/0 Owner Twistlock hook
  21. Nice job. Just remember that many bass dont try to eat those big and colorful bull males. Sometimes the more subdued color of a smaller fish may work better.
