Oh, I thought that would play a big roll in how much line you need. As you can tell, I'm an all-baitcaster guy.

Two things I usually do when I encounter this problem. 1. Buy jigs and jigheads with less stiff weed guards. 2. Trim a few individual wires at the base of the weed guard to "thin out" the weed guard.

Never had the rod, but the new Revo S is pretty sweet. I had a chance to try it out and it casts wonderfully. The brake system is pretty cool too. If you can get a good deal, I would go for it.

X2 you could use that for almost any bait you could think of.

They don't make braided line in that price range, but they do have Trilene XL armor coated. This is around 10 bucks/spool and it should hold up for any bass fishing. (At least it does for me)

Never used it, but if I were you I'd just buy a spool of Trilene XL for the same price.

Medium action heavy Veritas, Mojo bass, even the Cabelas Tourney Trail IM7 split grip are all good square bill rods.

Not sure about the exact yardage, but usually I leave around 1/4 - 1/8 inch left on the spool. (For baitcasters)

Mustad, Owner, Eagle Claw, Gamakatsu, their all good. Just like LMG said, anything that isn't priced too high.

I cut worms, creatures, craws, and senkos into jig trailer-manageable sizes. Anything too worn for bass fishing I give to my little cousin. He likes to fish for the Crappie and the Sunfish.

How exactly do y'all fish a wacky rig? I've never been much of a fan. Maybe I wasn't doing it right...

Tape them together like a raft, coat the bottom with a whole lot of wax paper, and go find a snowy hill! (Works on grass too!) A whole lot of fun. Take it from a 14 year old!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to know how everyone throws senkos. How you rig them, what techniques you use, everything! As for me, I usually texas rig em'. I just wanted to see how many other ways there were.

Yes, he's talking about the two rubber strips connecting the two claws. What plastic tabs are you talking about?

Is flushing and re-oiling the bearings the same as just putting a drop on the bearing? If not, can someone please explain to me what it is?

Hi everyone, I just had a question or two about reel maintenance. I know about oiling the centrifugal brake system, but do you oil a magnetic brake system? Also, when you oil bearings, should you dab off excess oil, or leave it?

I recently contacted Berkley regarding the topic, and they replied to me telling me the plastic strips should not be removed. I have always taken the strips off, and people on the forums say you should remove them any explanations?
