Rod Tubes

I was cleaning out the basement yesterday and I think I have enough rod tubes to build a house. :laugh5:

So has anyone figured out anything cool to do with your old cardboard  rod tubes? :sleep7:

Yep it's cold and I'm board.

Not a clue, but I just can't bring myself to throw them away!

If they were waterproof I'd make a Gilligan's Island style raft and fish off of it. :laugh5:

Tie them together and make a tent frame.

They're invaluable for shipping rods you decide to sell.

And then tape old worm bags together to make the cover for it?

If you have a Chiminea and aren't close to anything flamible, like within 50 yards... Start the fire and put the tube in the top of it.  Sounds like a jet engine!  (Irresponsible things we do in blizzards up here...)

Also works with rolled up Pizza boxes.

You could do some Bicycle Jousting too.  (sounds funny... it's not.)

That's exactly what I'm looking for! Something off the wall and irresponsible ! Lets keep the ideas rolling... I'm thinking mortar tubes or rocket launchers but the cardboard would be a disadvantage to say the least.

Potato Gun is a possibility...

Chew up whole sheets of paper and use it for big spit balls!

Nice! I would love to see video of a bike joust with these!

Maybe not irresponsible but gauranteed to cause fireworks. Move them all into the house for a couple days. A couple in the kitchen, living room, dining room. Then sit back & see how your wife reacts.....I don't recommend putting any in the bedroom as you may get beat in your sleep...just saying...

I cut them into short lengths and use them as fire starters.

They work great for bottle rocket fights. Saw one in half and shoot from the shoulder like a bazooka or from the hip.

Tape them together like a raft, coat the bottom with a whole lot of wax paper, and go find a snowy hill! (Works on grass too!) A whole lot of fun. Take it from a 14 year old!

I was thinking about a big "Church" organ or a extra large wind chime...

Use the hole on the bottom of whiffle ball bats for that! Amateur ... Hahaha
