  1. I use them over and over. If I were just throwing them, I wouldn't put them back.
  2. So after I have fished a senko or other plastic, do I stick it back in the original bag with the new ones? Like when I am changing colors, tying on a new bait, etc.
  3. Cyber Monday is coming!
  4. Thinking about picking up the gift pack myself as my first Jigs. I fish a reservoir with muddy bottom and grass on edges with plenty of brush piles. Do I want football heads or the orbs one?
  5. Now that I know how to tie it on, I really like the action. The fish did not today, but that's how it goes some days. Also tried out my new buzzbaits without success. Still fun though.
  6. Thanks. Also, it was posted in the general forum that they lost a days worth of posts because of technical stuff.
  7. This thread used to be longer, but I will repost. How do you tie these things on? I don't know which side even with that funky loop... Also I guess you fish it more like a jig instead of a spinnerbait.
  8. Great thread. I have been working on this lure of late as well. Does anyone use trailers with these or is that just for spinnerbaits?
  9. I got a luggage one on amazon for $6
  10. I love my cabelas tournament zx. They are currently on sale for $50. I learned on it quickly.
  11. My sarcasm clearly did not come through. Had a fun outing despite no fish. I was just making a joke. Thanks for the encouragment though!
  12. Went out for an hour today with my new 3/16 black buzzbait without even a nibble. They obviously don't work.
  13. I was actually looking for a black buzzbait today prior to seeing this thread. They had a 1/8 oz and I thought it looked too small, was looking for a 1/2 but you all are saying go try it eh? Been throwing a white one.
  14. Great thread. Thanks for the ideas!
  15. Went out Sunday from 5:00 to after dark with only one little guy to show for it. Tried a new cove that looked promising, but didn't turn out that way, tried spinnerbait, weightless worms, Carolina rigs, frog, and crankbaits in various colors. Even stayed out later than usual to try my large black spinnerbait after dark without even a nibble.
  16. I think bull run is always locked. I have even seen people get locked in there. You have to buy a season pass through fountainhead for a key. I have been out in parts of lake Anna on a kayak so an inflatable should work fine, don't know anything about the main portion though. Should be safer now that most of boating season is over.
  17. Where's the pic of the pinky? That's rough. Nice fish though!
  18. Video didn't work for me
  19. I have found the Sahara on sale a couple places. I would be looking at the 2500, right?
  20. Shimano rods also say that. My compre is MH fast.
  21. I just bought a Shimano Compre worm and jig rod that is 7'2" and medium heavy with a fast tip. I would now like to buy a decent spinning reel to go with it. I am wanting to spend about $50, I have been watching the flea market for a while but they never show up there. It's a baitcaster world. At any rate, if I could get some feedback in case I see a nice labor day sale that would be great. I have read other threads and it seems the President is highly recommended. Any other thoughts? I stuck my old reel on it this weekend and found it to be tip heavy. Granted my old reel is a BPS Stamped that I bought as a combo for $8 to see if I would like spinning gear so I can't complain, but I would like better balance. Thanks! Edit: I should add I am only fishing freshwater and using it for senkos, ikas, and the like.
  22. Thanks for the tip a while back on the maps. I picked one up at the lake ridge marina. Ten bucks and waterproof.
  23. That's some clear looking water! Welcome to the site!
