Best Knot For Braid To Lure Or Hook?
The shark knot is a good knot for braid. If you're wanting to stick with the palomar and are having issues with knot slippage, try the double palomar.

Jig Setup Question
I prefer to use 50lb braid with a 17 or 20lb fluorocarbon leader when throwing jigs around wood and rocks. I use Original Power Pro for braid and Seaguar Red Label as my leader material. As for helping you pick between the 50 and 100 size Core, I'm not much help there. If it were me, I would go for the 50.

Braid To Floro Knot
With lines of smaller diameter(8lb fluoro to 15lb braid) I use the Albright knot. With heavier line(20lb fluoro to 50lb braid) I tie the Alberto. Both hold up very well and go through the guides with no issues as long as you trim the leader material.

Kansas Lakes And Reservoirs
What lakes and or reservoirs have you fished in Kansas? Which did have you had the most success on? I have only been able to fish a few myself. 1) Bone Creek Reservoir 2) Big Hill Reservoir 3) Clinton Reservoir Since I live closest to Bone Creek, I have had the most time and success there. It's a really good largemouth fishery as well as crappie and catfish.

Curiosity Is Getting To Me About This Cheap Reel
I have the older version of the Nitro Tournament Z and it has developed some terrible flex in the frame. As for the newer version, who knows? It could be a decent reel.

Best Casting Rod For Cranking And Pitching Jigs?
Agreed.

Spinnerbaits

Squarebillz
They're silenced because it gives the bait a more subtle presentation to the fish. Sometimes you can go through an area with a rattling crank and come up empty, then cover the exact same water with a silent crank and catch fish. There are days when the opposite is true. You just have to adjust to what the fish want.

Swim Jig Trailers
Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craws are awesome swim jig trailers. Swimbaits such as the Zoom Swimmin Flukes and SK Perfect Swim'n Caffeine Shad are good options as well.

What Do You Do To Brand New Reel Before Fishing It?
Break it down and check to see if the manufacturer over greased anything. Flush the bearings and apply the oil of your choice and you'll be good to go.

New Crankbaits Need Help???
I agree with the majority here, SK squarebills are a good place to start. Pick up the some shad and bluegill patterns and go from there. Another crankbait series to take into consideration would be the Bandit series(100,200). Another great crank that always runs true and produces fish.

Bullet Weights Vs. Split Shots And Getting Snagged
Bullet sinkers would be my choice over split shots. Split shots can create a weak spot in your line which is a no-go for me. Like others have said, the mojo technique is a good alternative to the split shot rig.
