  1. I have fished there a couple of times. The water was down low and you could walk out by the dam. I used jigs and caught walleye and smallmouth off the shore.
  2. I've been looking for a rod to throw shaky heads, drop shots, and mainly tubes with. I fish a lot of shallow rivers for smallmouth and dont know whether to go with a medium or medium-light rod. I will probably be throwing mostly 1/8 oz. stuff for all three, anybody have any idea what I should go with? Know any good finesse rods around $100? Thanks for the help.
  3. Nice. I fish the Fox Rive a lot here too haha.
  4. Im out by Carpentersville, anyone know any decent ponds, lakes, or parts of the river around there?
  5. Thanks everybody. The lakes I am on are called Brown Lake and Long Lake, both don't have public access, haha. Gonna be up at Turtle Flambeau and Plum this summer hopefully. What lakes do you fish?
  6. My family has a cabin in northern wisconsin, in oneida by lake tomahawk. I mainly fish a couple of smaller 100 acre lakes, but I only have a jon boat and a 10 horse with a trolling motor. If any of you guys know of any decent lakes that are like less than 200 acres, you should let me know! I'm only 16 so I doubt I would be able to go on anything bigger.
  7. I'm Jacob, I'm a Junior in high school, and I have fished most of my life. My dad got me into it, he likes to fish but he isn't that serious about it. I really started to bass fish my freshman year of high school in a river by my house, which I fish almost everyday when I can. My parents bought me my first solid rod and reel my freshman year (abu garcia promax and a st croix triumph) But after that, I had to start buying my own stuff, so I got a job so I could. My family has a cabin in Wisconsin that we are at for about 4 weeks out of the year, where we fish for smallmouth. Now that it's winter and everything is frozen in Illinois, I spend a lot of time looking at the different strategies for fishing, and have found out a lot. I found out about this place from bassresource's videos on youtube, which have taught me a ton. Hope I can learn some more by being on this website.
