  1. I got the *** ***, like it a lot for a 100 dollar rod
  2. I'm a highschooler in Illinois, pretty much almost nobody at my school fishes, and I was wondering if there is anybody out there interested in starting a team to fish a bunch of tournaments. I am in the Carpentersville/Elgin area, but I would be willing to drive a bit to meet up with people. Send me a pm if you're interested in doing something like this.

I use a regular backpack for bank fishing. I am trying to find a bag that I keep all of my stuff together in the boat

Got another question for you guys.. I'm looking for a tackle bag that can hold 3600 size boxes but has a ton of soft plastic storage. I have looked at cabelas and the only stuff they have are really over priced. I am looking for a bag like this because I need one that I can easily put on my jon boat and take off. Thanks for your help and suggestions
  10. im 16 but If I had the choice I would pick al lindner. I like fishing the areas that he fishes, and I love fishing for smallmouth. i have a ton of episodes recorded on my tv of angling edge and his show has taught me a ton. Jose Wejebe and Brent Ehrler would be a close second edit: can't forget joe bucher

I know a bunch of people that use them in illinois. the tubes are supposed to be pretty good. I am going to get some of the finesse worms and tubes this spring
  12. I like flicker shads and shad raps and x raps. I have been using slower stuff for this time of year, I have had a lot of good luck on jigs and grubs
  13. big bite baits grubs, netbait paca craws, chompers twin tails, little dippers by reaction innovations. All of them are great for smallmouth in rivers.
  14. stuff for my jon boat, either a casting deck or a trolling motor
  15. Yeah this would be my third rod, so I guess that I might as well take a chance and get it. It is either between this and a Powell diesel but I'm leaning towards the kistler because of the weight and guides. Thanks for your help guys
  16. http://www.***.com/Kistler_Carbon_Steel_Micro_Casting_Rods/descpage-KCSM.html *** just stocked these things. They look pretty sweet. Anybody have bad experiences with Kistler, or has anybody actually got to feel this rod? I'm thinking about getting the 7' Medium composite for medium diving crankbaits. I heard their customer service is really good..
  17. My family has a cabin up there, swim jigs, shaky heads, spinnerbaits.
  18. Nice, it's got smallmouth. I'll try and get out there this spring or summer
  19. Nobody on here has been talking about Wisconsin for a while so I figured I would make another thread. Anybody know any good smaller lakes (100-200 acres) in Oneida or vilas county? All I have is a little jon boat and a trolling motor and a 25 horse mercury so I doubt I could go to a bigger lake
  20. I have the 7'1 MH ***, it feels like a medium heavy maybe a tiny bit stiffer. I bought it to use frogs and jigs with so it will probably be great for that. The medium ones would probably be perfect for cranks
  21. Haha, I made a post just like this like two days ago!! I am a highschooler in carpentersville, I've never fished tournaments but would like to get a team going out here
  22. Thanks for your help everybody. Leaning towards a medium light
  23. Yeah I've been looking at the St. Croix. I have a Triumph that I use for crappie and I really like it. Ill look at the compre. Thanks for the ideas.
  24. 1/4 oz smoke swim jig reeled swim-stop. Perch shad raps and X raps work good too.
