  1. Going to BPS this weekend for the Spring fishing sale. Going to buy just a baitcast reel. My price range is 300 and below. I want one for all around kind of fishing. Such as for fishing bottom lures, plastics, top water, spinners, and buzz-baits. Will be using it on a Medium-Heavy rod. I want the reel to be a fast action. What do you think would be a good reel to get from BPS? I like the Phfleugar Patriach. Tell me what you think the best baitcast reel for 300 bucks and under? Thanks to all who post!
  2. yeah I think its 50/50. Just wondering if ones better than other.
  3. I have used SpiderWire Braid (I dont like), PowerPro, and Suffix 832. I like both PowerPro and Suffix they work good. I noticed the Suffix 832 sink faster rather the PowerPro tends to very slowly sink. I noticed PowerPro has the super 8 Slick line. Which do you think is better, Suffix 832 Superline or PowerPro super 8 slick?
  4. Theres three by Chicago, IL. One is in suburb of Chicago called Boilingbrook, IL, and another is in Gurnee, IL its the biggest one ive seen in northern Illinois. I know theres one in Northwestern Indiana, near east Chicago. Also that one is pretty close.
  5. Awesome I will take a look at this. Ive seen it at BPS. Theres a BPS in East Peoria, and Chicago. Yes I got 3 Plano tackle boxes and I love them! I have a bag tackle box but need bigger will check that one at bps. Yes I seen this bag at BPS and I almost bought it last time. I will definitely look at this one, might even buy one
  6. Thanks I guess thats the best answer. I agree 100% Will look at these and take into consideration. Will do. I need the spring fishing sale to come faster lol
  7. Had a buddy who was fishing with me at a pond, and he used a berkley floating worm (color pink). He put a little weight on it and he was out fishing me that day. He caught 8 bass and I caught none lol.
  8. I have a tackle made by South Bend. Its medium size and compatible. I love it, but this year I been buying a lot of lures and I need a bigger bag. Whats the best tackle bag? You had or want? Give me details about why its the best tackle bag! Any size bag I will take into consideration. I like to use my tackle bag on boat. Also what Tackle boxes are the best design for lures? Ive used some plano's. Tell me model number and details of tackle boxes. They will be going into a backpack at times and mostly into tackle bag. Also wondering whats best spinning tackle box? Model number also. Thanks if you can answer one of these questions or all! Also pictures are welcomed

x2 I also like the Foxy Momma and Clown Color as well.
  10. I have the St. Croix Avid 7'1 MH. For 186 bucks, this rod is sensitive. Its not stiff and its not the most sensitive rod they have but this rod good for finesse. If you looking for stiff rod go with the premier then. I use this rod for frogging as well on occasions.

Thanks Franco! Ive seen post of his jigs on here and I was sold by how many people said awesome things about his lure making work. I knew owner hooks were amazing. I purchased some Big O's. thanks RW! I believe the owner hooks will make a statement. I will also buy some storm series down the road, the colors look amazing. Yes the price is amazing. compared to name brands. I also love his color selection. Id rather support his jigs (who look amazing) rather than support a name brand companies jigs who work for a few fishing trips.

I fish heavy weeds in summer, rock, brush/wood piles, open water, clear water, dirty water, under docks, shallow water, deep water. I been researching, going to get Arky Head, Brush Head, Grass head, and Football head. My question is Should I get the heavy duty Siebert Jigs over the regular Siebert Jigs? Will the heavy duty jig affect visualization? Its called the Big O.
  17. Thanks all will keep these ideas in my mind as I go to buy them thanks for the help.
  18. Thanks for the advice, will do this. The staysee is a pointer right? Also thanks too and btw colors sound great will try some out.
  19. mostly points, with drop offs. Might be some grass around but since its winter and when its spring there will be less of grass. So mostly points with drop offs.
  20. As spring approaches, im stocking up on lures Bass pro Shop has a sale on Lucky Craft Baits. The new ones (2013) and older ones. Reg price from 15 to 20 bucks. Most are 3 to 4 bucks off each. I have used berkleys jerk baits. Recently reading reviews I have discovered Lucky Craft Crank baits run more true and better action. My conditions im fishing: Ponds 7 to 13 ft deep, Lakes 7 to 50 feet deep. I will be fishing these in early spring when ice thaws. Water temp would be 38 to 42 degrees (late march). Most likey be fishing from 5 ft to 10 ft of water at most. WIll be keeping them near bottom. Largemouth Bass from 2 to 5 pounds. I was thinking of getting the Lucky Craft Staysee 90 SP and the Lucky Craft Slender Pointer. My question is: Are these good Choices? Also what size would u prefer and color?
