  2. Bass don't get big by being dumb. The little guys always bite first. Keep at it. I bet they're in there. Try something completely different and see what you get. Good luck!
  3. Pinnacle sponsors this site. Take it for what's its worth.
  4. Berkley Powerbait worm, motor oil color. Just like Colt .45, it works every time.
  5. It takes a few times to learn that sweet spot. My first few times I must have looked like a clown trying to load it myself! Just keep at it.
  6. This is my first year fishing wacky Senkos. I bought bags of them a few years ago and never really got into using them. But each spring I try to commit to trying something new. So far, that's all they're biting! I can't believe I've waited this long to use em! So that's my pick...wacky.
  7. Try a bluegill imitation, such as a jig or a squarebill. Like everyone else mentioned, its payback time for the bass. They are looking to eat some gills!
  8. Where are you located? Most the the ponds here in Indiana have been picking up with Senkos and squarebills. Just keep at it. Try something completely different.
  9. Berkley Lightning Rod Shock. $40 at Wal-Mart. Works great for Senkos.
  10. I fished the docks on the northeast corner, near the Blue Heron Inn.
  11. I fished Pine Lake in LaPorte yesterday and they were hitting wacky rigged Senkos. Mostly small males, but definitely a good sign. This week of warmer weather should help the slow bite.
  12. I was intrigued by it at first, but never actually tried it. My concern is this....is it a gimmick that gets the fisherman more than the fish? If it was THAT effective, wouldn't every pro angler be onto it? I hate to be pessimistic, but if I'm going to spend my $$$ on lures, I need more reliable sources on the effectiveness, not just the website promoting them. But I am interested, if anyone has had success with these baits over something else.

  14. I have a few bass jigs that I cut off the weed guards. Then I'll rig my trailer weedless on the jig. I seem to have a better hook up ratio this way. Just coincidence, or does anyone else do this?
  15. Including today's outing, which was the first of the year, a whopping 0. Water still a bit chilly up here in Northwest Indiana. Should warm up soon.
  16. I figured this topic would be coming up....it's only been a month or so since the LAST time! I only use spinning gear, have no problems hitting my targets or catching fish. I had a baitcaster and just didn't prefer it. And I don't see any need to get another one. It's just my preference, though.
  17. I'm in NW Indiana, too, and was afraid that this was going to happen. Some of my favorite spots may be wiped out.
  18. Anything with Russell Crowe sucks.
  19. Full House! Just kidding..... It has to be The Simpsons.
  20. No, but I have pitched many company's dumb concepts! Good luck with your idea!
  21. Zzzzzzzzzzzz............
  22. Only in my mind. This crazy winter in Northwest Indiana is driving me nuts!!!!
