The Havoc Pit Boss Is........
Two words.... Shaky Head!

Havoc Pit Boss
Excellent bait whether t-rigged, used as a jig trailer, or my personal favorite, on a shaky head.

Your Fav Spinner Bait Color? Trailer?
Like the majority white/chartruese during the day and black with either red or blue at night. Sometimes will use a white twin tail grub on the white/chartruese ones, but this often leads to the spinnerbait not running perfectly straight. Always use a large black grub as a trailer on the black ones at night.

Shakey Head Craws
Ive never used the chigger craw but if im throwing a shaky head it will have a rage craw or a pitboss on it. Had great luck with both, much more than traditional shaky head straight tail worms!

Super Spook Jr.?
Ive had some bass really come up and smack it out of brush piles and laydowns. Alot of people say not to throw a spook around wood because of the trebles, but if you stay focused and pay attention to where you're throwing, it can be deadly. Grass however doesnt fly very well with spooks lol

Super Spook Jr.?
The spook jr is my favorite size of the spook family. Ive had the most luck walking the spook quickly then killing it every now and then. I prefer the spook around points and around the edges of brush cover.

Purple Worms?
Ive heard the same thing from alot of the local old guys. Personally i have had better luck with red shad or pumpkinseed colored worms. But grape worms have faired me well. Cant leave out just plain black either!

Fishing Bank Grass
At my home lake the bass havent moved out to their deep summer ledges/brush or rock piles, instead they are relating to the plentiful water willow at the edge of the lake. The best water willow("grass") are the strips that are adjacent to 5-8 ft deep water. Have caught several fish lately running spinnerbaits and swim jigs down the weed line, and pitching jigs, soft plastics, and shaky heads into pockets and working them back out. During lowlight hours a hollow body frog worked through and out of the grass has produced well. I was just curious what everyones favorite technique is when fishing water willow or other similar grass found on the banks of lakes. Looking to expand my techniques. Thanks!

Exposed Or Weedless Hooks On A Rig?
I fish both and obviously prefer the weedless around stumps/grass. I havent had a problem with hook ups as of yet. The action is a little different than that of an open jig head so its a good idea to try both and see which the fish prefer if the cover allows a choice. Make sure the swimbaits are rigged perfectly straight with the weedless hooks!

Fat Albert Grubs
Green pumpkin on the back of a bluegill swim jig or just on a 1/4 oz jig head can be deadly at times. Salt n pepper and chartruese pepper are also good producing colors for me.

Umbrella Rig
Like BlueBasser said i have had better luck as well from fall through early spring. I wad reading an article the other day that was published when the rig was first released, and alot of the pros were talking about how they thought it would really shine during the summer months when fish are schooled up out deep on ledges, points, and channels. Have any of you guys had any luck with the rig during the summer? Just curious as i have stuck with the idea that it is a cold water lure.

Name Your Most Productive Brand Hollow Frog, The Most Productive Color And Most Productive Conditions...
Ive fished spro, KVD, and booyah and so far the booyah has caught more fish. Leopard frog is my favorite color during daylight and black after dark.

Colored Rods.
All Pro rods are nice and they are kind of a baby blue color. Not the brightest but unusual for sure.

Weedless Wacky Hook Issues
^^^^^ this. When i first started fishing 1/0 weedless wacky hooks i had the same problem. But i stopped really whacking them with a hard hook set, instead just reeling down and kind of pulling into them from the side and have had alot better hookup percentage. That small of a hook and the shape will do alot of the setting for you. Alot like circle hooks.

Best Chatterbait/vibrating Jig On The Market
Havent had a problem with the hooks yet on my Zmans, but have had several of the skirts come off. Ive had better luck though without the skirts!

Educate Me On Suffix Mono?
Suffix mono cannot be beat imo, especially for the price. Tie a good knot and with 12lb line, you will straighten a hook before the line will break. No joke my buddies get amazed at this all the time when i get hung up and ask what kind of line im using. Then they dont believe me when i tell them its 12lb test when they see how hard im pullin straight back lol

Deep Crankin Rod??
Well its summer time and pics of big fish being caught on deep water ledges are starting to show up. Ive never been much of a deep crankin guy, but several buddies are wearing them out on 6XDs and 10XDs. Im looking to buy a couple of each and get in on the action but the problem is i dont have a good rod for deep crankin. I got to thinking though and the idea hit me of using my swimbait rod i purchased for throwing the alabama rig to double as a 10XD rod since it is stout enough to handle the 2oz 10XD and 1oz 6XD as well. The rod is a 7'9" st. Croix mojo bass H fast. I know thats not near the correct rod to use for crankbaits as i have a lighter duty medium moderate action rod that i use for shallow divers, but i was just curious as to whether or not this rod would work until i could get a better setup. What do you guys think??

Favorite Swim Jig Trailer
You dont HAVE to cut the skinny dippers. I actually prefer not to since it gives the jig a bigger profile and weens out the little ones. Lol

Pork Trailer Shelf Life
Lol this post made me laugh. I was putting a new floor in my old boat a few years ago and found a bottle of black uncle josh pork frogs that had probably been in the bottom of the boat for a good 15 years. Rusted lid, oily label, and gooey contents on the inside. I opened the jar though and found the trailers to be fine! I put them in my tackle bag and the next trip out caught a 4 lber with one on the back of a jig. It made my day knowing that old school stuff will still catch em.
