Mine was awesome until it had a problem after two trips. After a cast the spool would not engage and i would have to reset the drag...it would be fine for 10 or so casts adn then it would happen again. Sent itback to abu and had a new one three days later amd had the dame problem. Sent the second one back for a refund and bought a lews TP My gen 2 stx has been fished hard for a few seasons and has never had any issues at all, love it hence why i got a gen 3 I will say i was super impressed with Abus customer service

I own both and i prefer the curado i While the TP is lighter ( and maybe just a hair smoother) i tend to reach for the curado more often. as far as casting they are pretty comparable in distance. During the fight the curado seems to feel more powerful and drag feels smoother imo. I also prefer centri brakes only but thats me

I have Lews, shimano, Abu, and BPS reels and St Croix, loomis, *** and Lews rods on board my boat. All get use at some point during the yeat and yes i have my favorites but im kinda glad to fish gear from multiple different makers
