  1. Wow it was chilly when we launched. 31f pagreg and i did pretty good but stuggled to find the big girls. We had a limit by 930 and culled up three of them later in the day. Best fish was a three lb smallie. The dudes that won had 19.1 and four of those fish were smallmouth! All in all it was pretty good day though
  2. I had mbc70mhm...it was ok. I liked the premier better in a 7MHM...sold the mojo and kept the premier My buddy has the mojo now and he loves it. I did get to fish the glass mojo once...i like it better than the graphite one but once again not as much as my premier
  3. Line advice from someone who doesnt know what backing is? Lol
  4. As long as i habe my watch on im good to go!
  5. Yessir...pagreg and i are...if any of guys wanna come down and fish it do it!
  6. Tourny on cowanesque this coming sunday... Team tourny six fish limit 75bucks per boat 100% payout 30 boat limit registration starts at 530am
  7. Cant blame em...the crankin model is a lower production run compared to the 6 and 7. I have a calcutta 201B for crankin...bought it in 02 and that thing casts a 6xd a country mile.
  8. Reeeeeaaaaalllly? I like that lol
  9. probably 80/20 at least.... Out of 30boats in my last tourny 2 of us fished lefty...thats about 7%
  10. Depends on how determined i am lol A lot of times ill hit a spot with more than one type of bait if i can...usually a jig or t rig, and a hardbait of some flavor and topwater bait depending on what happens with the first two baits...order varies as often as the weather changelol
  11. Yup! One guy i worked with (we both worked weekends mostly) was aTwo time classic qualifier and i co angled a few local tournys with him. That guy knew moreabout tackle and boats than i could ever know ( and i knew my products cold!) My favorite question was always " what pole and reel is good for fishing?" I always asked what is your target species? And usually got a blank stare lol. On the otherside of the coin i did get to meet and talk to some awesome anglers and a handful of pros over the couple years i worked retail. I leared a lot and i hope i taught a lot as well. Some guys would bring in pics of fish they caught on combos i set up for em...felt pretty good ro see em succeed
  12. What hootie said! I was on that side of the fence too...there is now way possible to please everyone even i tried. Also it impossible to know every product in your area when they change on a weekly sometimes daily basis. That kid may have been off for a few days and they got some product in or sold out of it. If the ammo is like my local store it is not all behind the counter. I know i tried to know as much as could about what was on the floor. I know i dealt with people all across the spectrum from total moron to complete genius. My most memorable moment was selling a guy a box a .308 ammo only to have him bring it back as defective a few days later " because it would not eject properly" I asked him to bring my the rifle and he did a few hours later...the rifle was a rem 700 30-06! He told me "30 caliber is 30 caliber this should work"
  13. You will be fine! I plan to add a ch51 to my lineup soon
  14. And a warming trend for the next few days to throw a wrench into my plan lol Followed by a mean cold front this coming weekend right before a tourny on sunday...lol i love fall! I gonna make my practice session this week interesting,
  15. Depends. But i always look at a map of the lake and try to identify area that should be holding fish depending on time of year and water conditions Once on the water i change according to what the water looks like first hand accounting for clearity, depth and water temp. I also like to know what kind of forage and weeds are in said lake
  16. Ive lost a few that hurt. A lucky craft pointer (my fovorite one i might add lol) I casted off a megabass vision once But what hurts the most is the year long total ive lost probably 20tungsten bullets, a half dozen 6xds, an a-rig, a few squarebills and handfull of jigs this year
  17. Chronarch e5 or e6 Curado i 6.3 Lews bb1 pro lews tourny pro revo stx Any of those will serve you well...however like mike said he rod is even more important. A 7 mh mod or glass would be a good start
  18. Thats what in sayin lolIm not a machinist but im pretty smart when it comes to math, scientific notation, conversion and sig figs lol
  19. A lot of times if the wind gets blowing real hard i will stick to moving baits like a spinner bait, jerkbait or crankbait. If the wind has been blowing to same for multiple days ill go the the most wind hit shoreline and work a jig or a spinnerbait, especially if the shoreline has muddied up some from the waves. Bass like to hide in that muddy water and ambush prey
  20. Jackall Crosstail Shad SK dreamshot I did pick up some powerbait shad to try...gonna mess with them this coming week
  21. If the number gliss stated is in mm than im impressed lol
  22. I have the same problem...no deer stuff either lol
  23. After mike at dvt tuned my curado e i realized longer casting, smoother casting and less casting effort. I still het the occasional overrun but thats not the reels fault I know i plan to send him a couple reels over the winter months for tuning and new drags Mike is totally worth rhe work he puts into a reel...honestly his prices make it almost like stealing lol. Super service at an exceptional price!
