I was throwing 12# invisxYeah most of lucky craft pointer are scratched to hell and still catch fish but the megabass was shedding paint in big chunks... I know they arent for striper lol. They just happened to invaded one of my honey holes because rhe baitfish were thick there lol...plus im a gluton for drag pullers

Went fishin to practice for an upcoming tourny today and i planned on testing my shiny new megabass 110. Started out fishin some new spots with a beaver and jig and did ok. Found some decent fish so i decided it was time to run down the lake to tje clear water and see what this megabass vision 110 in tenn shad looks like in action! Wow is all i can say, totally unique movement, casts a mile! Then things went down hill...sorta Third cast i get slammed and its a four maybe five pound striper. Hooks come out no biggie. Next cast boom another one hooks come out again...totally my fault. A few mins later i hook into a three ish smallie get it to the boat and all is good. First megabass fish! But i wanna another shot at those striper! So i work the area again with no joy and i notice the paint is chipping off something bad...really? 40mins in rhe water and paint is comin off? Then i find he school again and its fish on! Nice striper only once again off it comes and this time i get a straight hook. I fix it and go back at it. Boom anothet striper this one goes 5lbs and gets in the boat and oh look another straight hook this time on tje front treble. I fix the hook and retie and then it happens...i cast out and get a slight overrun. Fix it and somehow my line just breaks. 30yds of line gone. Megabass gone! Sucks...i must have had a knick i didnt notice...im cranky now lol but a pointer replaced the vision and i got a few more striper to the boat All that being said that megabass vision is nasty! I will have another. I am however dissapointed in the paint and the hooks given the price tag

A 7 mf with a 30 series reel should be able to cover most bases I check an Croix premier , croix Avid, *** black, and a fenwick elite tech. Reels i would seriously consider a stradic 3000 for any of the above rods

I still cant get over how wasnt in the top 50 at cayuga...that lake is such an awesome fishery and should have been right up his alley. Jerks, cranks, spinner baits and swimbaits always work there However, it is what it is. Its called fishing foe a reason. KVD will be back...he hs more wins left in him for sure. He is too good not to win again

I know when im fishin buddy tourny and make every effort to help my buddy in the back the angles and shots he needs...i will say i enjoy being un the back sometimes. Why? Because then all i gotta think about it catchin fish lol A lot of times my partner and i are fishin much different baits so we are both getting virgin water so to speak. For example if he is fishin topwater ill fish the bottom or if he i workin a spinner bait ill work a squarebill or deep crank. One advantage too is if i miss one on say a frog ill tell him to toss his t rig or whatever in there right behind my bait...it has produced many times!

I boated an 8ft nurse shark on20# braid and a 15# leader with shimano stradic 4000 fi on a 7'ft croix tidemaster M once...so yes it can be done...it took my an hour on that nurse shark lol

My go to t rig combo was a curado e7 on a 7'3 mh ***...then i screwed around and got a 7'3 mh *** and chronarch ci4...totally different and OMG awesome! I have a hard time putting it down even when i know i need to not throw a t rig bait lol Super light, crazy sensitive, wicked smooth and a deep caster! Its just a pleasure to fish! I like my LTB, lews tourny pro combo a lot too but i absolutely love my ***/ci4. I really like my three omens as well but the *** just flat out outperforms them in every way...only catch is ya have to like the reflex guides.

I have a gerber multi with needle nose pliers. My line cutter however is a boomerang The gerber works good for most things and was like 50 bucks. I also carry a couple screw drivers and a select socket set for any boat issues Oddly enough i have a leatherman in my snowmobile lol

I know on tourny days all of my rods are rigged with my top confidence baits on deck at the start...sometimes they change throughout the day...sometimes they dont! So i run out of one or lose another i have somethinf to fall back on that i have confidence in
