If you had to pick 3 depth range cranks what would be your choices? I am currently just getting in to the bass game. I have lots of square bills in the 3-5' range. What other depth ranges should I be looking at for all around cranks? Thanks.

How deep is the water you are fishing.   I try to have billed  crankbaits that will cover the entire water column from 0-20ft.  It is harder to find good baits that cover the 16 to 20 ft depth.

Do you know if your body of water forms a thermocline or not?     If so, at what depth?    It is hard to find smaller profile baits that will cover  the deeper depths,.

0' - 5' - Rapala DT 4 or Bomber Square A

6' - 10' - Bomber Model 6A, Norman Middle N, Bandit 200, Rapala DT6

10' - 13' - SK 3xD, Bandit 300

13' - 16' SK 5xd- Rapala Crankin' Rap 14', Damiki 300

16' + Spro Little John, SK 6XD, Norman DD 22

I own many and use to fish them a lot, but got tired of retrieving the bill without the bait.  DT's are to fragile for my fishing.

Better for what?  What exactly are you trying to do?  Baits with different shapes and different bills all do different things.  It's better to pick a bait for a specific situation than to pick a bait and try to find a situation to fish it in.  You are going to be hard pressed to find a crankbait that will effectively fish 25' deep.

I you want a smaller bodied bait that gets good depth take a look at the Norman Deep Little N, it is a quality bait at an affordable price.

The 10xd is an awesome bait for the 25' range. I've caught over 20 fish over 5lbs this year on one, with 2 over 8 and one at 9lbs!

Funny how I always here how great Wiggle Warts are but I never see them recomended when the "what crank" question comes up

I would recommend the Warts, only problem is that the family is practically extinct, Subwart, MidWart, Wiggle Wart, Deep Wart, from those the only remaining is the Wiggle, no point in recommending something that is no more.

No bass fisherman should be without a REBEL "BIG CLAW" CRAWFISH CRANKBAIT in chartreuse dives to 10' it's one of my hottest bass catching lures of all time.

Make sure it's the BIG CLAW.

Did you know with any floating crankbait that dives let's say 10' we can adjust our line speed to make it run shallower or let it float and use it topwater.

Now most of my deeper running lures are for the boat. I mainly shore fish and my deepest depth is 9'/10'.
