I got to talk to a rep. when these hit the market in Okeechobee. It looks similar to what the name implies. That along with the catchy names of the lures was so the baits stood out when anglers were looking. It also helped that they catch bass. Some angler had just won a big FLW (I think) on Okeechobee using them.

The guy behind the counter told me they were made for DSG by Shimano ? Any truth in that ?

If your line is twisted when you put the kvd line conditioner on it will stay twisted. Got to get rid of loops.

Some top quality braid or flouro. Power pro or Seaguar.

Both are great reels. You'll love the STX but only you can decide if it's worth 70 more than the S. Just ignore the nonsense shimano remarks.

Not true. My friend/mentor Hank Morely who taught me about bass when I was a youngin used Zebco's due to his arthritis and won bass tournaments up and down the coast of Fl.

Co-angler sits or stays in the back of the boat. The boat owner stays in the front. His boat, his rules. If it's a tournament where everyone is competing against each other I see no problem with it. That's how it was when I fished tournaments as a teen,

I use 20pd PP on all my spinning and most of my casting reels. Light cover as in weeds ? 30pd should work. Tree limbs, rocks etc. stick with the 65.

Red shad worms 7-10in. Rattletraps. Jig punchin or shiners.
