  1. I believe I'd take it to the police and let them decide what to do........I've often wondered how often fishermen find bodies via depth finders.
  2. Might as well just turn it in to flag football. There's really no way of preventing injuries in tackle football.
  3. I use nothing but Silver Max's........For my needs, they're as good as anything out there and they're reasonably priced.
  4. I have a 1991 Pro 160 and I really like it. I bought it used last fall from the original owner he really took good care of it. I've used it quite a bit and have had no trouble at all. I did upgrade the fish finder though.
  5. I've caught a lot of fish on various Rooster Tails. Thanks for the link.
  6. That's a pretty piece of water.......
  7. In my area, you can pick up a good used "Bass Hunter" for $200. to $300. on Craigslist. I used to have one of these boats and I loved it for small ponds and lakes......I put a trolling motor on it and it would last all day........and I transported it on top of my small car.......
  8. Spot removers are pretty good.
  9. It sounds like he has a history of like violations......I think he should have gotten the 5 years, 10K fine and permanent loss of license......but that's just me...
  10. Thanks for the tip......I'm looking for a new rod but really didn't have a direction to go in.
  11. I find it curious that his shadow doesn't move in relation to the white car on the other bank........It is still interesting though.
  12. Nice!!! I always wanted a Mitchell 300 when I was a kid but couldn't afford one. They were the reels to have. I recently purchased a 300 only to learn that I need a 301 (right hand retrieve). I was also gonna try to find some vintage lures to fish with and see if they'll still work. I wanted to try fishing with a Creek Chub Pearch Wiggle Fish but quickly found out that if I actually score one, I probably won't fish it.
  13. Welcome from Hendersonville NC!
  14. You better find it at your local library. $144.89 at Amazon
  15. To answer your question concerning a fuse box, I have a 1991 Pro 16 Tracker that doesn't have a fuse box. I'd like to see pictures of your boat also.
  16. I just purchased one at Dicks Sporting goods......it wasn't Plano....It was field and Stream......I also saw one at Walmart.......
  17. I've got the same problem. I hate cats but it belongs to my wife........somehow, I'm gonna have to make it look like an accident........... If I do catch it in the act and I get the chance, I'm gonna use a slingshot and ball bearings to try to get the message across. I hate stupid cats.......I'd like to make some little concrete shoes for the B$%@&(&$ and send him to sleep with the fishes.
  18. Actually, I just got my first boat late last summer. I bought a used 1991 Bass Tracker Pro 16 with a 25 hp Evinrude. The boat is in new condition. I've added a Lowrance 4 elite at the console and plan on adding a new unit up front. I've really enjoyed the boat. I can run all day long on 6 gallons of gas. It's no rocket ship but it gets me on the water. Over all, a great boat.
  19. I'd look for another club and some new friends.
  20. I've used a particular product to add a garlic scent and a chartreuse coloring to my plastics. I've used it with some success until yesterday when I went to dip the worm in the treatment only to see it dissolve my plastic baits........it wasn't hot ( I keep it well below 95 degrees). Anyone else have this experience? I like using it but I don't want to dissolve my plastics......
  21. As long as the electronics companies pour money into the tournament's, there will be electronics in the tournament's.........and the pro's will rave about them just like they rave about every lure, line, rod and reel that they receive sponsorship from or have their name on. I'd like to see an electronics free tournament but I don't see it happening. What I'd like to see is some sort of system that allows a catch to be recorded and the fish returned to the waters where they were caught. I don't think catching them, hauling them all over a lake all day long, hauling them out for admiration and then dumping them in the nearest water is very humane. I probably won't ever see that either.... Oh.......and a reasonable motor size limit......but there again.....money talks.
  22. I use it and it's the toughest stuff I've ever used. I lost a very big bass (we saw her next to the boat and my partner estimated her to be over 7 lbs.) and she broke the hook on my rapala xrap.........the lure was still on my line.........that never would have happened with any kinda mono. I haven't had any of the problems with it that other people have written about.
  23. I haven't.......unless you live there, it costs about $450 a year to put a boat in. To many other lakes around to spend money like that.
  24. Look closely at the tires for wear on the outside and look at the axle for any kind of bend. I bought a great boat and trailer and after about 3k miles completely ate up the tires. Now I'm having a new axle up in and then a new set of tires. I'm still happy with my purchase and would have bought the boat and trailer anyway, but it would have been nice to know about it up front. Shopping used boats is exhausting......have fun!
  25. Don't forget that some ramps are fairly steep. I pull my Tracker with my 97 Ranger (4 cylinder) OK but I'm always afraid that some ramps may be to steep to pull the boat out of. I have no problems using just about any ramp with my 6cylinder Vue.
