she was slim... I am guessing from the spawn. I don't care though I almost fell out of the boat 3 or 4 times cause I was shaking so bad... You got to love it...

I got a 7 lb 13 oz bass on a jig today.. sorry no pics, i really need a camera to take with me... The fish had just spawned and was lean, tail bleeding from fanning the bed. I had blood all over me.. I know she was 28 inches long and about 10 inches in girth... I wonder what she would of weighted if she was full of eggs? Previous PB 7 lb 3oz

Thanks for the info guys... and LBH thank you... I got permission to fish a nice private 6 acre lake with large carppie and bass in it. This lake has been under strict management for 10 years and I have been told several lunkers are waiting for him to pull them out Thanks again guys

My son is 9 years old this nov. He is wanting to start learning to bass fish What is a good but not to expensive pole for him to use.. needs to be easy as well.

I have the same problem as you, been 75 to 80 all last week and just 2 days a go it started this cooling off crap. I was just sitting here thinking about what I need to tie on tonight. Black/Blue Jig Spinner bait - color not sure of yet, have not seen the water I am fishing yet. Lizard - pumpkin/ watermelon red/red flake 3x worm shaky head style I am going to start at the trees, but I am going to be off the bank to the deeper water some, I am thinking of throwing at the base of the cypress trees and working my way out to about 6 feet of water. I am hoping that the bass are just staged right out side of there beds. My guess is the fish will be holding in 4 to 6 feet, but I could be wrong.. Whats you guys think?

well what about hook sets? if the line is under the rod and in a tip guide and you set the hook it puts alot of pressure on that tip guide... The line will be only on the guide and would not bend it down ? I have never seen a spiral setup in person

I have read up on this a little at DG's place but I have a few questions, How does this work using cracking baits? etc... Like spinners and crank baits Hows the casting? TIA

do you get them wet before you load the boat back on? I always get the whole runner wet and then pull back up some, boat seems to go on so much easier.

I have been looking for another boat to buy. I found what I thought was a good deal till, the seller wanted to make up fake trailer titles and crap. This boat was a 05 Lowe 170w with a 90 HP merc. for 11,000 ... I have 2 problems, I really need help with. I am not sure if I want fiberglass or All Weld. I have 11,000 saved up and I would like a new boat, but will settle for a slick used boat. I fish small to medium size lakes with lots of stumps and cypress trees. I just started doing some club turny's, and my little jon boat just won't cut it. I check boat trader often, boats are just hard to find. I am looking for something over 17' in length

I look at it like this, if I am heading in the same direction as the person wanting to fish close to me, then they need to atleast give me some room... 100 yrds or so. why not fall in behind me... If I come down a lake and you are fishing and going the way i want to go then I will get 100 or so yards in front, but mostly I just bring up the rear and watch what you are doing and try something different.. I have had people get right in front of me, I don't say a word, i just cast at there boat and keep fishing, then tend to get the hint and move on. This happen to me 2 weeks ago at a turny, I was fishing some piers and a boat come flying in there and got 5 feet in front of me. I just keep casting in his direction and he moved out of the way. The nerve of some people... it is just ... well we all know what it is

I have this happen to me on hot summer days when a storm is coming or right after.. I add a trailer hook and it seems to work well... You could also try to slow down just a tad, not so much they quit busting it, just enough to maybe get the hook in.

LBH i will give that a try, it is hard to find a good bass fishing partner here in Eastern Arkansas, most people say they bass fish here, but they go out and cast 10 or so times and catch nothing. then either sit in the boat sulled up like a baby or start another type of fishing. It is hard to bass fish, with a partner that has a cane pole hung out the side of the boat.

the bad part is i just payed for the new batteries for his boat, cause I was going to be fishing with him in 7 turny's this year. Plus picked up the entry fees and all... I am not wanting anyone I fish with to think i just leech there boat and money. I do not mind doing my part on repairs, equipment or anything. He will call me, about 9 am and feed me some line that he just woke up or he is sick, my truck had a flat or some other lie. I would say maybe it is me, but he asked me to go. lol o and the weather today is clear and 85 -- arrggg

it was his boat, I have a boat but we were going to a bigger lake and my boat is not all that big. This is fixing to change though, cause I was going to buy a new boat at the end of the fishing season, I might just go buy it today.. I am so ticked i can't even type. I get my butt out of bed at 5 am to sit here and wait on someone that doesn't even call or answer his phone...

Have any of you ever been stood up by ur fishing partner? I fish with a feller that just can't seem to wake up, We set a time and he's a no show... Man that ticks me off, atleast call or something.. agrrrrr! sorry I needed to vent, and the wife just would not understand..
