They don't. The handle alone costs less

Let's Talk Ducketts.
They will probably just take the specs from his quantum rods and duplicate it. The key is in the action and power, not sensitivity. His switch was so quick, he was still using Exo reels in the classic lol. The color scheme matches the ducketts so I assume most people thought he was using the next duckett reels

Got My Hawgtech Anodized Parts Back!!! Aweeeesome
I used the D last season for weightless plastics and it was great then. I can only imagine how good it will be with the ceramic bearings. I love the reel so much, I went and bought another one lol. That one is going to be fitted with a shallow spool and purple highlights. It's going to be amazing.

Tatula Reel
The added width in the front of the reel and the jutting brake dial are right where I keep my pointer finger. The dial rubbed my finger red when just practice casting and reeling in a frog (it's intended use). Walking the dog was very uncomfortable for me. Again, this was only in the short time I spent with it, so I can only imagine what a full day would do. As I said, on the zillion, the brake dial is recessed, so I never even really noticed it. And the zillion isn't as wide in the front, so it basically disappears in my hands. Not the case with the tatula. I'll keep going for the zillions that are at $150 used lol. Keep in mind thought that I am in the minority however.

Tatula Reel
. This was my problem. The dial is right where I put my finger. On the zillion, the dial is recessed so I never even noticed it until I held a tatula. I took the other route and bought a t3 at $210. Man what a deal

I'm sure they are fine rods just like most in the market. Honestly, it's rare that you get a CARROT STIX level of hatred going for a certain rod line. I handled some and they were light as heck but I just didn't want the super micro guides. Every company has it's detractors. My only gripe is they don't have actions etc put on the rod.

Triple Fish Camo Line-The Only "almost Invisible Line" & Great Price
As others have said, I don't believe the no stretch or invisible claims. However, abrasion resistance and slack line sensitivity are why I use it. Fluoro density makes it ideal for feel applications. Furthermore, although Fluoro may not sink quickly, but it does sink and I prefer it for weightless plastics or wacky senkos because it adds a slow but steady descent vs an ultra slow sink you get with mono. Lastly, I sure wish John Crews would openly state this when he is pushing viscous line. When their pro fluoro came out, he was lauding the invisibility and toughness of the line and how he uses it his crankbaits.

Got My Hawgtech Anodized Parts Back!!! Aweeeesome
Besides cosmetic? The handle is 17mm longer that the original d series handle. This makes the turns even smoother. Furthermore, hawgtech handles take two bearings per knob as opposed to the one of the original handle. Again, even smoother. The larger knobs are more comfortable. Last, it is the same weight as the previous handle, but longer. The anodized parts are cosmetic. I like to customize my reels and custom parts are very expensive. Having the them anodize existing parts adds a new twist to previously expensive customizations

Powell Timax Reviews
They are brand new. I'm sure they are great but aluminum handles seem like a pain when they would be wet.

Punching Reel Help
I would throw the lews super duty out there. It was meant for heavy applications and has a 95mm aluminum handle, aluminum frame and gear side plate with brass gearing. I've Owned 2 and they are easy to cast, have a braid ready spool and more than enough power.

Tatula Reel
I must be frigid. I sold mine before even casting it lol

Got My Hawgtech Anodized Parts Back!!! Aweeeesome
Well besides making awesome handles, hawgtech has upped the ante with the custom anodizing. Much cheaper than buying new drag stars etc. I sent them my newly acquired TD-Ito so they could match the purple part. They then anodized the original drag star and cast control knob to the purple. As you can see, it looks awesome. Second, I had them anodized my chronarch d drag star and cast control gold to match the spool and line lip. Add a Hawtech swept handle with gold accents, end caps, hawgtech ceramic bearings and upgraded power 2 knobs and you have an amazing looking and feeling reel. Do yourself a favor and try it out. Great guys who's customer service is top notch. Wait til I show you guys my soon to arrive purple additions to my newly acquired chronarch d.

Abu Rods, Getting A Little Redundant
Why have the vendetta at $79 if the veritas is now $79? Also, I've read that the veracity is considered their premium line now but it is lower priced than the villian. Interesting

Sunline Fluorocarbon
Sniper and shooter are amazing. I haven't used super as I jumped right in at their sniper line which is of a higher quality.

Quantum Escalade Hd Casting Rods. Ever Use One?
The escalade reels are a dicks house brand song assume the rods are as well. I also saw them at dicks. Must be a new rod to match their line of reels

Curado I Or Tournament Pro For Lighter Lures?
Wasn't attempting to me offensive nor imply that the curado I is a bad reel. I meant with regards to finesse stuff.
-
Curado I Or Tournament Pro For Lighter Lures?
Exactly. Anyone pushing the curado I is doing so based soley on the fact that it's a shimano reel. The curado 50e is a good option. The tp can throw lighter lures but isn't ideal just like the curado I won't be. Both their spools are made to hold a good amount of line

Curado I Review
As was I. Most shimano drags go around 11lbs. Looks like they upped the anti to go head to head with the Tatula which also went higher than daiwas standard drag (8.8 lbs)

Gamma Edge Fluorocarbon?
Has anyone used this stuff. Checked it out and it is crazy expensive but the 3 of the top 5 guys in the classic are sponsored by the company and using it. Now I know sponsorship is going to dictate what you use . However I remember reading that the company was under new ownership attempting to bring a top of the line fluoro to market which I guess is the edge line. I would be game to try it out but it is right up there with tatsu and shooter in terms of price. Anyone here use it and have a review?
