Flipping Rod And Reel
What is your price range? A klx with a 50% discount would be around 100 with shipping and taxes. That's a steal on what everyone says is a quality rod. If you had to go the Abu route, I'd stay clear from the veritas because they are incredibly tip heavy. Combined with a lightweight reel like the stx will wear you out pretty quickly. Maybe bump up into the Villain or veracity? Abit higher quality and offset by your discount Reel wise, something high speed. An stx in the 8.0:1 would be ideal and a cheaper option.

What Is Your Favorite Rod/ Rod Compay?
I think you are confusing my intent. I would have gladly paid for the parts in question (as I have with other rods from other companies). My point was that I got the a real person on the phone who was quick to help and knew about the product in question. I was not attempting to get something for free when it was my fault. I was trying to get a part. The eyelet was offered to me for free. That is a company willing to go above and beyond to keep your business.

What Is Your Favorite Rod/ Rod Compay?
I have had 3 issues with dobyns regarding a chipped eyelet (my fault btw). Each time I called I for Richard dobyns on the phone and had an eyelet shipped to me free of charge that day. THAT is customer service. Getting a real person on the phone who knows their stuff and can get the job done

What Is Your Favorite Rod/ Rod Compay?
Yes sir I am. I have shirts and hats from a ton of company's since I have owned most companies Rods/reels at least once since I got into fishing. Since I tried dobyns, they have all been switched over with the exception of one custom I bought off a member here. Shirt wise, st croix makes an excellent shirt which fits me great. I own three of them lol

Quantum Energy Pt
Ike used to be sponsored by daiwa so I wouldn't be surprised if he still had a bunch of their reels and uses them when not on tour. Pros could outfish us with a Shakespeare rod and zebco reel. Sponsorships are part of the deal and pros will use whoever pays them or gives them free product and I don't blame them. How ever it's not good to go by pro staff. Figure that the top guys get new reels when they break. We as consumers have to pay when that happens. I have owned a smoke and it was a great reel. The other reels I owned of theirs were not great for the price point.

Has Anybody Broken A Veritas?
Friend snapped a spinning rod on a dink...blew up below the first guide. Customer service was top notch. Not only did they call back up ASAP...they let him upgrade from a medium to a medium heavy with no problem. 3 days later he had his new rod. I made a thread about it.

You can get them used at that price

Need Suggestion On Deep Cranking Rod
Dobyns champion 765cb either glass or graphite depending in your preference. You didn't mention a price range as it is more expensive than your mojo..

High Priced Rods & Sensitivity. Would You Call It Necessary?
As others have said, a lot depend on how much you fish, experience etc. I can say that my dx's are more sensitive than any 100 dollar rod I've fished, and I have owned most in that range. When I was down in Virginia we were using Carolina rigs a lot. Fluoro wasn't getting bit but my guide was using mono and killing them. I out mono on my dx and could still feel a lot more on the bottom than some cheaper rods with fluoro..they are that crisp and sensitive To go against the high dollar point, I recently purchased a steez flipping stick and found it to be no more sensitive and much less balanced than my champion 736c but more than double the price. Turned around and sold it almost immediately even though I really wanted to like it.

What To Throw On A Dobyns Savvy 734C
I have 3 of their 4 power rods because they do it all. As has been said, they can throw everything expect light stuff and cranks. Everything else is fair game
