In open water, I've had luck repeatedly hopping the jig fairly high and letting it sink back down. The fish usually hit when the jig starts to fall. Hope that helps!

I'm currently looking at a 17 ft. fiberglass boat with a max horsepower rating of 150. However, the boat is equipped with a 75 horse motor. How much of the max horsepower rating is necessary? I mean, 75 out of 150 seems pretty weak. What do you guys think? Gracias.

I freakin loved Galyans!! I've gone to Dicks many many times just to find out that they dont have what I wanted, I would say it is more a beginner fishermans store because they have quite a bit of stuff but I have to go to Gander Mountain to get specific stuff that I want.

Without having much Abu Garcia experience at all, I would guess that the screw is what holds the side plate with the brakes on. I would think if you unscrew it, you could twist the sideplate and get to the pins.
