Thanks to some unseasonably warm weather I hit the pond today for a couple hours. Mid 60's with very very strong winds. Water was about 40 degrees and I only managed this "dink". Oh well, it helped some of the cabin fever symptoms. Check out the chop on the water

You could also use a bullet weight unpegged where your split shot would go, and then peg a bead so the weight hits it. Just a thought.

Yo-zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft sounds perfect for you. It's a copolymer that is very abrasion resistant and very low memory. I think it comes in green too, but I'd get the clear.
