My worst miss was probobly missing 7 fish in one day all on a super fluke. One was a beast too. Just gotta remember to reel down and take care of business.

Fishing from shore, or actually a green, I was at a golf course.

Ice finally melted off and I went out in some decent weather. 45 degrees, 30+mph wind, and water about 40 degrees. I couldn't feel my jig worth anything and missed what I think were 3 fish. I managed a 1.5-2 pounder, but I'm just glad I could catch something in this cold of water. Sorry the pic sucks, cameraphone. :

That "free" tackle bag with purchase of an All-Star Rod deal is a joke. The coupon said 8-10 weeks and it has been 13 or 14 weeks and I have heard nothing. It's too bad that I like their rods too much to start bashing them.

It is really effective in deep water, when you need to detect bites and get a good hookset with all that line out. Also, braid cuts through grass better than other lines.

I know ripping cranks through grass is a good technique, but I always have the problem of too much grass and not enough ripping the crank out of it. Should I only go through really thin grass, or just barely graze it? Would alot sharper hooks help?

I would just constantly say "look out a cop"! And then he would finally get the point. I have a friend like that too, except he has a $400 radar detector and has never got a ticket.

I know a kid that gave in and went to a party to drink, he ended up getting in a fight, breaking his nose and then passed out in the bathroom and hit his head on the toliet, getting a concussion. If you are going to drink it is better to not do it at a party and definatly not if you are driving. But that is your decision....

Uh, Mythbusters had an episode on that and "proved" goldfish have pretty good memory spans. I dont know if I believe it, but it was a good episode nevertheless.

My only question is why is BASS changing everything possible? Do they think by changing their magizine, website, forum, and Bassmaster U classes that "customers" are going to subscribe more, fish more tournaments, somehow promote BASS? Many, many, many people are just ticked off at BASS and dont want to subscribe anymore, if that was that their intention thay have succeeded.

As much as I hate to say it, Vanish is trash. You'll be alot happier with Seaguar or Bass Pro Shops XPS Flourocarbon lines.

I think Indiana has a bad image because of the lack of big bass waters. But, the amount of gravel pits and ponds that people dont know about and arent fished much is amazing.
