  1. The exposed part of the hook should be on the "top" or non flat side. I dont really know if it matters so much on the trick worm, but on the lizard I would definately expose on the top.
  2. I think the rules state that the boater fishes from the front and the co-angler fishes from the back. Thats it. I just fished my first BFL last weekend and my only advice would be to try to stay calm. I was all nervous and it really affected my fishing. Other than that, dont get lost on the way to the ramp in the morning, and you should have a blast.
  3. If you mean split rings, which I think you do, they make split ring pliers to change 'em out. for example: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_27365_100011005_100000000_100011000_100-11-5

Set the hook right away because the jig is mainly metal, and the fish will spit it out alot faster than a worm.
  5. Heres the story http://sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/tournaments/majors/news/story?id=2875478
  6. A 4/0 EWG fits perfectly on Fat Ikas, but I do get the hook stuck in the plastic on occasion.
  7. Well, eventually it will save me money, but right now its pretty expensive. I got to get my friends buyin some off of me to make some profit
  8. Believe it or ot they actually turned out too soft, so I started adding more salt and they got a lot better. As for being close to GYCB, I dont think anyone will ever be exactly the same, but they are "similar".
  9. I followed this recipe: http://www.del-mart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11 As for the color, I just started mixing stuff and it turned out pretty decent I used a 5" stik mold from del-mart
  10. The three on the top are the ones I made, the one on the bottom is a YUM dinger.
  11. Bear Grylls would probably eat him...lol but seriously I love that show and man vs. wild
  12. light to heavy in ounces 1/16 1/8 3/16 1/4 5/16 3/8 1/2 9/16 5/8 11/16 3/4 13/16 7/8 15/16 1 ounce
  13. you can go to wal-mart and buy a pool thermometer, i did and I was surprised how fast the water warms up and cools down. I think they're like 5 bucks.
  14. Yah, my whiteness and the sun didnt mix too well this weekend either. Too bad I was working instead of fishing when I got burnt. Nice fish
  15. Falcon makes a spinnerbait organizer, I have one and my only complaint is how much you have to pinch down big armed spinnerbaits to fit in there. But it is pretty nice. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_54762_100011009_100000000_100011000_100-11-9
  16. That is funny on so many levels
  17. Absolutely Justin
  18. You can put them in "hot" water for a while and then lay them down straight to cool off and they will even back out.
  19. Cheaply made spinnerbaits, bad colored jigs, buzzbaits with only two "blades", and it looks nothing like the picture. If it is still $19.99 you would probably be better off buy fewer quality items.
  20. I always have the dream I'm in a boat and for some reason in a big hurry and end up running through floating piers, docks, and through others boats. My heart is beating super fast when I wake up too.
  21. I believe you need a type III. Check this out:http://www.boat-ed.com/in/handbook/pfds.htm
  22. The trailer in the picture is rootbeer pepper/green http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=12375&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults
  23. I found these Flourocarbon reviews on Tackletour, it pretty cool information. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewfluorocarbontest.html
  24. yes, fluoro is alot more abrasion resistent and more sensitive, so a braid and flouro combination is really sensitive. But if your going to use it on a c-rig I'd go with mono so it help the plastic float up a little.
