Kayak Night Fishing For Bass
Agree with a lot of others here, Always wear your lifejacket always. You also need a white light, I have one I made on my crate. I also use a head lamp, and a flashlight. When night fishing a worm or a jig,I use a black light you can see your line if you use flouresent line, it looks like rope using a black light. I have reflectors on my kayak too. I never fish by my self at night, when I`m out with my buddies I always tell my wife where I`m going and with who I`m going with. My favorite lure at night is a jitterbug, BLACK it`s a killer lure on smallies

Anyone Make Tube Spinnerbaits Or Tube Buzzbaits?
The tube spinnerbait or buzzbait looked like a regular spinnerbait or buzzbait but had a tube lead head on it. I think it was made in Harrisburg,Pa. I had purchased them at the eastern sport show years ago in Harrisburg,Pa.

Anyone Make Tube Spinnerbaits Or Tube Buzzbaits?
A few years back I had a few of these baits and they worked great. I think the company that made them went out of business. Does anyone have any info on how to make them or if a company still makes them. I would like to make them for myself with the input I get from here. They worked great on smallies. I lost the last one I had a few years back in a muskies mouth. Thanks

Bass Fishing On A Kayak?
The best thing you can do is demo any kayak you are thinking of purchasing. The worse thing is you buy a kayak and you hate it , and you have only been on the water for ten minutes. Check into used kayaks, check the web to find what is out there and what is available. Don`t be to hasty buying a kayak right away, because the wrong kayak is money lost.

Jitterbug
I find the best time to fish a jitterbug is at night also. I fish it slowly, you will hear the fish suck it in his mouth, but do not set the hook until you feel the fish on your line. I also like to use a bigger size jiggerbug at night , the fish just seem to prefer the larger profile bait. ( one warning though, watch out for owls) I`ve had owls come and grab the jiggerbug right off the water. Then trying to get lure back from owl is not fun!

Cant Catch Anything With Senkos????
If you want to learn how to fish a bait, you need to bring only that bait with you to learn how to fish with it. That way you will find out what the fish want. ( how fast to retrieve, different type riggings, do nothing fishing ) I fish sencos weightless, if the fish don`t bite on the fall I`ll reel it a couple of turns and let it fall again. If no bite then I will start working the senco like a fluke. I like nose hooking my sencos using a small circle hook.

Fishing Cooler?
I use both a cooler and a crate. My crate has a middle section, and a top. I have my plano boxes on bottom, soft plastic in middle, with a top or lid that is locked down using a bungee cord. My cooler is behind my crate or up front depending how I`m fishing. My cooler is a 12qt. cooler.

Removing Sponsor Decals/stickers From Boat Hull
I would use a heat gun, then use rubbing alcohol to get the rest of the glue off. I won`t hurt the gel coat.

Malone Toptier Cross Bar System For Utility Trailers
Has anyone seen this top tier cross bar sytem for utility trailers? I`ve seen it on-line and it looks very interesting to me. After converting boat trailer to kayak hauler,I think I want to tackle this project. I have a utility trailer that I would like to convert to a top tier cross bar system for utility trailers. The problem with the ones on-line is that they cost almost $300. I think I can make a simular system using uni-struts and u-bolts for around $100 or less. I think I would use this trailer more after converting it because I would be able to haul anything else I wanted under kayaks with room to spare.

First Kayak
The best way to figure out which kayak to buy, you need to go to a dealer that sells kayaks and look at what they have and sit in them. Then if you like a few of them, ask to try them out on the water. Most dealers have demo days, to try out different kayaks. Ask the dealer which sells the best and if it would be right for how you want to use it. First I would search internet on kayaks and find out what is out there. When you find the kind or style that suits you, go to dealer.

Kayak Bass Fishing Rods And Reels. Do I Chuck It All? Or Do I Add To It?
I fish out of my kayak, just like I`m in my bass boat as well. I would keep what you have and watch what others are doing and using. Get on forums like this one to get a feel on what to use from others. The bottom line is you fish with the gear you like to fish with and feel comfortable with. If you would like baitcasters then go and try them. If you need heavier equipment then get it. But don`t get something because he or she has it. Go and fish the areas and let the different bodies of water dictate what you may need. I have a lot of fishing buddies that kayak fish and that don`t kayak fish. Some of them use only spinning reels and some only use baitcasters. I use both because that is how I fish. What ever way works for you is the best. I also carry 4-6rods when kayak fishing, and at least 8 rods when in bass boat.
