Mono Vs. Yo Zuri
I'm sure color does not matter as much as line diameter, but the smoke color literally dissapears in the water. I went to walmart today to pick up 600yards of 12lb line and was shocked to see it cost $17.96, and had an employee double check the price, but it's true. Some higher lb tests costs like $20. Not long ago it was like 7 or $8.99.

Anything Better Than Power Pro?
After using suffix 832 in 10, 20, and 30 pound, I can never go back to power pro. It has been about two years now, and have no regrets.

Show Your Hardbaits .. Lots Or Rare Or Getbit
I caught hundreds of fish with this lure. I use it in lakes, rivers, ocean. It's called fakebait made by Maria Japan and is quite difficult to find.

Freshwater Snook And Tarpon
I was always dubious about that as well. I do think most fish were just tranported by people. there was one instance where biologists were wrong about a particular fact, which I knew was wrong just from personal experience, so I wouldn't be entirely surprised if snook and tarpon could indeed breed and thrive in freshwater.

How Is Hybrid Striped Bass Fishing Different From Lmb?
That's true. There is this channel on youtube called OOW Outdoors and they specifically target freshwater stripers and hybrids and a lot of times they are schooled together and the baits used are exactly the same.SmilingSwordsman if you're interested then I would highly recommend watching their videos.

How Is Hybrid Striped Bass Fishing Different From Lmb?
You're thinking hybrids and striped bass are the same exact fish, but they are not. Hybrids are a cross between striped bass and sand bass as they are better suited for farming, since they tolerate warm water temperatures much better.

How Is Hybrid Striped Bass Fishing Different From Lmb?
It's probably hybrid stripers. Like someone said before, a striped bass wouldn't do too well in a small lake, especially if the lake isn't very deep, as they are a cool water fish. I have not caught a hybrid, but I did a lot of research on them, and the thing that I remember most is their adaptability in both warm (like sandbass) and cold water (stripers) temperatures. It does makes sense since hybrids are a mix between the two species. I would love to catch one someday.

Good Sunglasses For Fishing & Just Being Outside?
I know you said around $100, but in case you change your mind when looking around, maui jim makes some really nice looking frames. I use to have oakleys before that, but it sank to the bottom of the ocean. I like the maui much better and looks less pretentious. I use them while driving as well as fishing. Oh great warranty as well. If I remember correctly, they will do a full replacement for free if you happen to break your frames in any way. I believe it's lifetime too.

Abu garcia doesn't make spinning reels in Sweden anymore, let alone an ultra light.

Anybody Ever Eaten Largemouth Bass Before?
I tried it a couple times and they taste okay, but not really worth the effort preparing in my opinion. It reminds me of striped bass in that it was very bland.

Power Pro The Next Generation
If this is true, then I don't really find it to be that impressive at all. If it were 10lb, 20lb, and 30lb braided line that's 25% stronger and thinner then yes, but 50 and above? No, not really.

High Detail Chinese Swimbaits
The generic chinese knock offs should probsbly be avoided, but the established american or japanese brand lures manufactured in china are okay. They probably have set standards. This actually reminds me, I was looking at sebile lures the other day and it says " Made in the PRC" which is basically China. PRC= Peoples Republic of China. I guess they don't think we're very bright.

Show off your Stuff
i did not know that, but not too surprised since abu makes a lot of different reels. Also, omoto used to make reels for them as well, which explains a lot of the physicsl similarities. Having it now, it is so much easier to see the differences from omoto's body to that of the ambassadeurs. Just looking at photos doesn't help. But now I'm thinking the physical comparison should be applied with the 7000hsn you mention.

$97. I can't post a pic, because the file is too big for some reason, but the inside is built like a 7000 reel.

I just got a new reel, an omoto wavecaster 4000. It's not bad looking reel. The color looks nice, and I like the look of round reels. I bought it mostly for freshwater fishing. It ended up being a little larger than I actually wanted. I mistakenly assumed that it would be about the size of an abu 4500, but it's more like a 5500 sized abu. The profile is a little larger than a 5500 abu as well. It's not a big deal. I just wanted something smaller for the type of fishing I wanted to do, which would have been bass, pickerel, catfish, and even some saltwater species: like stripers and bluefish. Other then the size mistake, I'm very happy with it so far; especially for the price.

Topwater Line
I have always used braid. Most top waters I do are walk the dog type lures, so I don't know if switching to mono would be a benefit in regards to action.

Dream Of Fishing ? Am I Alone ? Share Yours...
my fishing dreams are too bizzarre to describe properly. in one dream i was in a pay lake, and in another, i was fishing within a gated community. i remember waking up dazed and confused, but it was fun while it lasted.
