Buying A Bass Tracker Pro 170?
Being they are aluminum boats, you can not pound them into weather, you will break welds. It's like taking one of those nice SUV's that those "soccer mom's" drive offroading. It's not ment for it. Those aluminum bass boats aren't made to take the abuse the V Mod's are. If you don't beat it up you shouldn't have those issues.

Locating Bass?
Boy that's a loaded question. So many answers and like stated above without knowing all the variables it would be hard to tell ya. Depending on the lake, the type of cover, water color, region, seasonal temps as well as water temps. Got to give a bit more info for a somewhat educated guess to help you out.

Crankbaits! Can You Fully Effective With Only One Brand?
Could you do it with one brand, sure. But like many others, I fish various brands, but tend to stick with certain baits from each to make up my aresenal. SK makes great baits, use quite a few, but they do not make a balsa bait....hence need to pick up a different companies bait. With so many good companies out there, it's hard not to fish just one brand and having options with various baits for the same depth can make a big difference. Crank A may catch a few fish, but your buddy has crank B which has a little different action then A and is killing it. If you don't have crank B in your arsenal, well you get to catch a few while he catches a lot. Been there, seen it. So if you choose to fish one brand, hey your choice, but I'll choose to fish several for my arsenal so I have the options when needed.

Lure Color For Treated Pond
Sounds like fish tank talk to me. Only problem if it was methylene blue, it would kill the entire biological system in the lake and would most likely lead to a large fish die off. Copper Sulfate has a temp affect on plant and algae growth, also will kill small shrimp and crayfish where it was directly sprayed or added. But it doesn't affect the biological bacteria in the lake that is needed for proper water chemistry.

Spro Bronzeye Shad Review
Have had no problem with the bronzeye shad. Mine walks fine. Actually caught my biggest frog fish this year on it in mid November at just over 5 1/2lbs. And as far as frogs that don't sink, I have only found 2, both the Snag Proof Ish's Phat Frog and Poppin Phatty. Fish all mine on braid (30). Makes a big difference in being able to get the right action out of a frog. Found ths Bronzeye needed no altering to walk and had a great hook up percentage.

Kevin Van Dam Did Not Qualify For 2015 Classic!
I think the other guys are all happy. I mean Edwin Evers is probably estatic knowing he doesn't have to fish against KVD.

Big Fish Feed Midday?
They have us all fooled. Face it the big fish know we are gonna be fishing hard early in the morning and when it gets mid-day and hot, well the jet skies, pleasure boaters, and swimmers are out. And we don't like to stand in the hot sun. They had a union meeting and discussed proper feeding times when the bigger fish will eat. The ones caught out of that peak time......well they weren't at the meeting. I mean come on fish go to school to learn how to aviod us.

New Bps Catalog
They did away with other companies higher end stuff as well. It's not just Shimano.

Terminal Tackle Boxes
Have a lot of terminal tackle too. But carrying it in a 3600 or 3700 box is a big box. Have 3 smaller BPS boxes that have 5 small slots. Hooks go in a worm binder in the small bags. Box for dropshot, box for weights (both lead and tungsten), and a box for misc loose crap (worm rattles, weighted swimbait hooks that are loose, blades and swivels (mj rigging)....etc. Much easer to store those smaller boxes when you have limited amount of space for 3600 and 3700 boxes when you can only take one tackle bag.

It Is Officially Winter In Orange County
Winter, shoot wishing I had a popper yesterday. Water temps @ 57 but the bass were busting on spots of shad. Yep, it's tough when winter water temps are considered cold at 56-59. Did have some followers on the 8" swimbait.

Lure Color For Treated Pond
Half the city ponds I fish are toliet bowl blue. Neither is an issue to the fish. The bright side, the pond that has really blue water tends to warm up quicker then the clear water ponds. I'm guessing the blue water absorbs the heat better. All your colors should work fine. Use a lot of green pumpkin, watermelon, bamma bug and do just fine.

Huddleston Rig
Paint your hooks flat white that you use on the belly rig. I use the BB rigging. Spray all my hooks flat black first to keep the shine off. Does it help, not sure. But I know it doesn't hurt.

Were You A Natural, Or Start Like Me?
Well I guess I had a harder road, didn't have anyone that fished but I wanted to learn. Bought my first rod and reel myself with money I saved ($25) back in like 1984. Fished bluegills with mealworms. Learned a lot from the older guys who fished where I did. I was that kid that asked a thousand questions but they were kind and showed me what I was doing wrong, how to tie the right kind of knots. Then decided to do it for a living fishing saltwater when I moved back and succeded when I was 20 to get a job on a fishing boat and worked my way up to running one. Now in the last 4 yrs have rediscoved bass fishing and hardly ever fish off the sportboats anymore and enjoy my time walking the banks or float tubing. But I do use the years of experience when I fished almost everyday when I go to assess the water, what the fish maybe doing and form patterens to be successful. And I enjoy passing these on to my son when I can get him off those stupid electronic games and out of the house....lol

Is This A Good Sponsorship Letter?
Start locally where you can talk to the owner. Approach it like you would an athletic sponsorship for youth sports. Promote your fishing team/club, not yourself. Make it a team issue. You're in middle school so hit up local businesses that could contribute to your club. Restraurants could do have a fundraiser to help as well. You will get more from your local comunity then the "big" tackle guys. You start winning and yes they will find you and approach you. Good luck.

First 2 Baits Out Of Your Panic Box?
If you have already panic'd, well your day's over. Good fisherman don't panic, we adjust. Panicing leads to rash decisions which will take you out of the game.

I have yet to see any parasite live through that 350F deep fry bath. But if it does, it deserves to win becaue it's a lot tougher then any of us.

Ever Catch A Lure That You Lost?
Retrieved quite a few, lost and recovered 2 huddleston's (one was a week later). Recovered a couple A-rigs.(nice to have two rods when something happens where you can throw right back). recoved one rod with the fish that pulled it in still attached shore fishing with my son. and have come up with quite a few found lures that I've recoved that found their way to the bank or happened to be tangled in ducks with line hanging off of them. And had a fish take one of my roostertail's when I was 16 and came back 3 days later and caught it on another roostertail and got both back.

Eating Freshwater Drum
If I am correct they have a bit of red meat in the fillet. If you don't remove this then they will have a fishy taste. When I lived in OK, I ate them. They weren't bad. Then again it could be the way you cook them or prepare them before cooking. And if you freeze them, well I won't eat any frozen fish. If I catch something to eat it's going to be eaten fresh, never frozen.

Treble Hook Replacement
If you use the short shank you can bump up a size, but 4's and 2's are what comes with them.

50 Or 65 Pound Braid For Froggin?
Use 30lb myself, might jump to 40. If you choose to use lighter braids you have to pay attention to your line for frays and wear. I'm guessing the 30 you broke you have probably fished for a while. You start seeing frays time to cut that part off. And since I like using smaller reels in the 100 size, the 30 or 40 will give me more capacity opposed to if I fished 50 or 65lb.

Building A Shallow Cranking Box With $250 Budget
While everyone lists lots of squarebills and brands, I would say list them in this fashion if you're looking to fish a shallow box. Squarebills: Nomally a wide wobble and seach bait flatsided baits: Tight wiggle wakebaits: Extremely shallow with different bill styles. other: these are baits that do not fit into the other catagories. Heddon has a great bait that is hard to find excep on BPS website (swimming image) others are shallow running cranks that aren't squarebilled. Then you have silent, rattle, plastic and balsa. So for $250, I would get several brands with different lip designs that all run in that range as well as sizes.
